I love that Katie indulges/shares my curiousity of oddities. Also that she's up for playing whatever weird game is created out of the ether. Was recently reminded of the hilariousness that is Hatoful Boyfriend and the drama that is pigeon love. Mac version doesn't work that well so I got Katie to download the game onto her laptop. It's seriously cracking me up.

I think we have to go for Sakuya. Got to dig that fanned tail. Then again, knowing my experience with Katie playing Choice of Games: Romance we'll probably end up arguing over our pigeon romantic interest. Is it sad I find this stuff fun to do with my gf? Whatever. I should find other dating sims to play with her.

Anywayyyy, ~Sakuya~, of the fanned tail. Dreamy. rofl.

Where's Diana when you need her? lol. Ironically my fanfic for her and Lois has been completely plagiarized by someone called Avalonofthewind on ff.net. I posted a review calling them out on it and PM'd them but I doubt they'll respond.

ETA: The fic has been taken down. User claims that their page was hacked and it was posted by someone else. Sounds fishy to me but what I wanted was done. Hopefully the fic doesn't show up somewhere else.

Here's a bit of proof )

And so on goes the Pretty Little Liars theme song. I finally caught up on the new season and just in time since it started back up again. Strangely, I have the desire to write a not really all that romantic at the start fic for Aria and Spencer where they have a drunken night of making out and groping which leads to a serial cheating sex relationship which A eventually outs them for and then they finally decide to go out. lol. It's a backwards relationship and totally not fluffy romance like I wrote Emily/Spencer. I think it suits Aria and Spencer though.

Contemplating it so hard. They are super cute together. After all, Spencer is a freak and Aria loves her and Aria is tiny and Spencer loves her. What more do I need really.

Just got back from Wisconsin with Katie. Had a great time with her enormous family during Christmas. During our drive back I played around on my laptop and found this choose your own adventure type game that Katie and I played. It's called Choice of Games: Romance and the sequel is Choice of Games: Intrigue. It's basically like... magic/adventure/Harlequin choose your own adventure in Spanish court type of thing.

Katie and I had a blast playing it on the way home. Although we kept bickering about which suitor to choose. She was all about the Queen and I sort of liked de Mendosa. Anyway! If you like romances as much as I do it's a fun game to play.

TITLE: Bylines and Bracelets (Or How Lois Lane Fell In Love With Diana of Themyscira)
SERIES: Wonder Woman/Superman/DCU
AUTHOR: Dreiser
EMAIL: dreiser7@yahoo.com
GTALK: dreiser7
MY WEBSITE: http://www.dreiser.org/
CONTENT: One Shot. AU origins story. F/F romance. F/F sex. Lois Lane/Wonder Woman
SUMMARY: Lois Lane never believed in love at first sight but that was before Metropolis gained a Wonder Woman.
DISCLAIMER: I own nothing but my dismay at the latest revamping of the DCU.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is a very alternate universe story that starts with the proposal of what if Lois Lane was a lesbian and what if Wonder Woman was Metropolis' chosen hero. It goes on from there. I hope you find my weird idea enjoyable and happy holidays!

Princess, I think you just might be the perfect date. )

Been hearing about it forever and finally watched it today (mostly by myself and the end few eps with the gf) and mannnn, I love it. I mean, it's nothing like unexpected in terms of plot but I love ghost stories and I love mild horror and I love drama and angst ridden romance and well, yeah, this has it all. Plus an evil house filled with awesome ghosts.

My favorite is Nora hands down. I squee everytime she shows up in her pretty time period outfits crying about her lost baby. Poor sad Nora. I had a weird moment of shippiness when Hayden showed up to snarkily comfort Nora and talk about dead babies together while hating on Vivian. Also, I really liked Hayden once she died. She's strangely fun as a ghost. She cracked me up when she had sex with Travis and said she just did it to see if she could fuck the living. Anywayyy, Nora/Hayden everybody! lol.

ETA: Livejournal seems to be getting shittier by the moment so I'm going to import my journal over to Dreamwidth and do crossposting from there. If anyone is on Dreamwidth and has some good femslash communities (and otherwise) to recommend let me know. I'll continue to post femslash here as well but with how things are going I should start looking into fic posting places over there. Really didn't want to do this as a creature of habit but LJ keeps making crappy changes and not taking their userbase in account at all.

I'm 9,000+ words into my Wonder Woman/Lois Lane fanfic and it's surprisingly easy considering I haven't properly plotted it out. I'm doing an alternate universe origins story mish mashing all the various plots from different comic book time periods and the DCAU. I think I should have it done by sometime next week? I need a title though.

Anyway. Here's a sneak peek )

Been watching my Justice League dvds and I have to say, my favorite thing on the series is The Question/Huntress. Sooooo awesome, you guys! I ship them super hard.

Ordered a ton of dvds from the animated DCU series because of awesome holiday sales. I'm most pleased with myself. While I do love Marvel more in terms of comic books and live action movies I can't really get into their animated series. Except 1990's X-Men that is. But I love all the DC animated shows. Batman: TAS, Superman: TAS, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Batman: Brave & Bold, Teen Titans, etc. Really great stuff, imho.

Been trying to read Wonder Woman femslash. Katie is right to whinge. There is a severe lack of it and it baffles, honestly, because who is more femslashy than Wondey?

In my reading I found a really great series on AO3 that flips the trinity (Supes, Bats, Wondey) around. In the fic, Diana is raised by the Kents and she basically takes over Superman's role in Metropolis complete with Lois OTP romance. It's pretty fabulous and makes me want to write a fic using the concept.

Not with Diana being raised by the Kents, but instead her coming to Metropolis instead of Superman and her ostensibly being the hero of that city while Clark maybe settles in maybe Star City or Gateway City and is a more international hero (I don't really care about that though). Basically the fic would be setting up Lois as an out lesbian and Wondey as her superhero love at first sight.

It's a thought. I think I'll hold off writing anything until I watch all the Justice League and Superman dvds I ordered. I do love Lois and Diana so if I write anything I want their voices right. Of course, I can also go through Katie's extensive comic collection for that too. She's pretty into the idea of me writing this even as a one shot.

Katie is a longtime DC Comics fan. Just as much as I am for Marvel. Her big love in the DCU is the Batfamily followed closely by Wonder Woman. Anywayyyy. Today we had a Batman movie marathon with a bunch of our friends. Well, a marathon of the good movies, that is. Namely the Burton and Nolan ones along with a few of the animated specials.

Watching Batman Returns makes me nostalgic for the fucking seductive awesome of Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman. I mean, I know her origins story in the movie is completely different from the comics but damn is she made of fierce and she really sold the part. I reserve judgement on Anne Hathaway but I find it hard to believe Michelle's portrayal can ever be topped.

I love them sooooo much as friends. The whole Lord/Manning/Cramer/Delgado extended family is the best thing ever on OLTL and there are so many fantastic things on that soap. Today was a really good episode for Blair/Tea friendship as Blair finally (yeah, right) chooses between Todd and Tea's brother Tomas as her love interest. She goes with Tomas.

Blair tells Tea about this and Tea is sort of hesitant because she, rightly, doesn't think Blair is really over Todd. Her hesitation makes Blair scoff that of course Tea doesn't approve of her being with Tea's brother, bringing up their old antimosity and Tea's response is to extol all of Blair's best qualities with complete and utter sincerity. Ohhh, it makes me ship them so. I can't say how much I love Tea and Blair being friends. I do see femslash with them but I love their canon friendship so much that it alone pleases me. Of course, I still ship TnV like mad. I wish they'd bring back Victor from the dead in time to see Tea have their baby.

Anyway! Blair/Tea cuteness is 48 seconds into the video.

Prospect Park announced they might not go through with continuing All My Children online (which bums me out severely) but they're full steam ahead with One Life To Live. The reasoning being they don't have that many people signed on for AMC, including La Lucci, while they have a HUGE amount of important cast members signed on for OLTL.

Including Florencia Lozano aka Tea I'm The Most Bad Ass Attorney Ever Delgado!! Ahhh, fangirl squee of love and joy. I adore Tea above all other females on OLTL. Her and Blair's frenemy relationship is my OTP on that show and yay for seeing more awesome Tea/Dani mother/daughter scenes for I love them dearly.

Also? They signed on David Vickers. Yay! If only Dorian hadn't said no. AMC bums me out because above all else I'm a huge Bianca Montomery fangirl and Christina Bennett Lind's interpretation of the character was made of fabulous.

Still. I have Tea now. So much joy for Tea.

How long has Star Trek Voyager been off the air? I don't know. I love it always and I get on these streaks where I rewatch it and I've been doing random episodes instead of going logically through the seasons episode by episode like usual. I might do that later though.

Anywayyyy, one of my few OTP's in fandom has to be Janeway/Seven. I love them as a couple. Usually I don't go for May/December romances but they're pretty much perfect together and Kate Mulgrew and Jeri Ryan are just too fucking fantastic with the chemistry together. It also helps that Janeway, hands down, is my favorite Star Trek Captain.

On that note, here's a link to a hilarious J7 ala Scott Pilgrim comic strip for the fun of it and some random J7 gifs.

The last one isn't J7 just Janeway being adorable. As if that's just anything though. Janeway! So much love forever. I crush on your voice until the end of days.

No real news about AMC move online. We've got Ryan, Cara, and Jesse on the new show. One Life To Live is fairing a lot better with Viki, Clint, Blair, Natalie, John, Tomas, and Sean moving online. I wish we had news about Tea, Jessica, and Todd. Yeah, I'm referring to them by character names and not actors. It's just easier for my puny brain.

Still winding down from going to game seven. That was a party to end all parties. St. Louis loves its baseball and this was a crazy underdog come back from the dead a million times season for us. It's one for the history books and I'm super proud of my hometown team.

In other news Debbi Morgan and Melissa Claire Egan are moving to Y&R. I think Debbi is already on? I haven't been watching Y&R so I don't know. Debbi played Angie on AMC (love her) and Melissa Claire Egan played Annie on AMC. I love love love love love MCE. Her being on Y&R tempts me to try and do a little back history and watch the show again for she is made of fierce.

New Florence + The Machine album is fabulous and Cardinals rule all. I love them forever.

Seriously. I don't care what we do or how much we pay. Albert Pujols must stay a redbird until he retires from the game of baseball. To have it otherwise would be a horrible blow to this team and the sports fans of St. Louis. Free agency makes me depressed. He has to stay with us. HAS TO. Albert! So much love. This game was epic.

It is not cute when you write children in fics as constantly replacing the letter/sound 'r' with the letter/sound 'w'. In fact, it is the opposite of cute. It is fucking annoying and slightly insulting to imply that just because a child is younger they can't pronounce things correctly. Not all children pronounce words wrong and write certain letters backwards. This constant assumption in fics that kids do this is aggravating to me and I don't even want children. It's just... you can write a child without writing them as doing these cliche verbal mispronunciations. There's plenty of ways to make it clear they're a young child besides having them mispronounce.

UGH. It grates on me. I'm reading a fic right now I love love love except everytime the kid talks it's fucking "fow" instead of "for" and argggh for the love of god have the kid fucking say things correctly. It's just as bad as writing out a southern accent overdone in dialogue. I cannot stand.

Also? Continue to suck it Rangers and fuck yeah, go Cards. I hope we end this shit by game four. That's right.
dreiser: (Adventure Time: Fionna)

Adventure Time! Haha. Sorry. Had to do it. If you're not watching this cartoon you simply must. It's probably my favorite thing on television after South Park. It's a fifteen minute show on Cartoon Network that is the definition of silly and random. It takes place in the Land of Ooo which is post-apocalyptic after the Mushroom War (nuclear war) and is populated by a variety of creatures from sugar filled candy people, a plethora of princesses, an Ice King, and Earclops. The main characters are Finn the Human (the last human as all the others have been mutated after the Mushroom War turning into various other things) who is 13 years old and Jake his best friend/brother (Jake's parents found Finn abandoned in the forest and raised him) a dog with Mr. Fantastic stretching powers. The show is about them going on adventures together and generally being awesome and endearing along with the other characters.

There's something unbelievably charming about this show. It's so simple that it's brilliant but what strikes me the most is the sheer likability and goodness of the characters on this show. I mean, I defy anyone to not love Finn, he's simply adorable. Even when genderswapped as Fionna in my icon.

In a show as awesome as Adventure Time it's hard to pick a favorite character. I myself, love Finn to bits, which is weird. Usually my favorite character is never the main character but Finn is so darn lovable. I love love love how there are a million different princesses (all of which the Ice King kidnaps) but out of all of them I find Lumpy Space Princess the most hilarious. This scene pretty much exemplifies her hilarity to me.

ETA: Cardinals are in the World Series! Now I say suck it Rangers. lol. Man, my fingers are so crossed.

I only have Wondey icons for DC because I'm a Marvel girl through and through. Despite that I watch all comic book movies which is why I just got finished watching the Green Lantern movie and dude... DC couldn't have pooped out a more convoluted mess if they tried. It's like they made an effort to make Hal Jordan as dislikable as possible. Also, characterization seemed way off from what I know and read in the comics so that bugged me immensely. Either way, I cared so very little about what happened to Hal it wasn't even funny. The only thing I enjoyed in that movie was Sinestro.

I just... bad, man, so very bad. I hope new Superman movie redeems them and Anne Hathaway doesn't ruin Batman. In Marvel news, an expanded Avengers trailer is out and it is awesomeeee.

Eventually Steve and Tony will have to be BFFs and subtextually (if you can call it that in some comics) in love together but for now I like them snarking and as always Steve must call Tony on his bullshit. Also? I fangirl Chris Evans as Cap more than Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and I never thought that would happen but Chris is utterly perfect as Cap and I cannot deny it. I can't even say how happy I am to be proven wrong about him being good at playing that part.

Last but not least, go Cards! We're beating Brewers at the moment. I hope we keep it up. Suck it Milwaukee.

I'll be there this weekend doing many nerdy fun things involving friends, booze, and sci-fi type stuff. There's going to be a panel on b-movies and such and I'm super excited for that. Just rewatched it with Katie and the brother. Forgot how bad January Jones really is. She's totally like someone cosplaying Emma Frost at Comic Con. Sort of sad, if she wasn't in the movie, I think I'd love everything about it.
