I got my free l-word.com fanfic award winner t-shirt today and for some reason I'm highly amused by the shirt. I have tons of shirts sort of like this, ones from winning various weird crap and from working at conventions. Such as the pink t-shirt for Yuricon Security that I either swiped or wheedled my way into getting from Pat when he worked on that for the convention. I forget. Anyway, I have all these shirts and they totally amuse me but I never wear them. I have weird standards on shirts and for some reason I never wear the free ones. Hmmm.
But my t-shirt that says Homosexuals Are Gay! oh I wear that all the time. lol. But I like free things so t-shirt, yay! Hee. I also got my copy of Punk Goes Metal today which is typically kick ass. What else? Oh yeah, on Wednesday I went in for my first day at Moolah Theatre and I left at 3 pm about three hours sooner than my shift ended because 1) They wanted to pay me in cash and didn't want me to fill out any W2 Tax forms 2) They wanted to pay me two dollars less than promised.
Dude, I never work for the cash thing. I haven't since I was like sixteen. That shit is shady and under the table and no no no no... but annoying. It's such a pimp theatre. Too bad they're, well, shady with their payment methods and lying about salary rates. Oh well. I have an interview on Monday with Teavana which is this high end tea store in the Galleria mall which is close to where I live and again with the yay on cheaper gas driving to work if I get this gig.
Plus Gay Chris works FT at the Walden Books at Galleria and I could visit him if I worked there. Plus Galleria is a fancy gay populated mall and blah blah blah.
EDITED TO ADD: Okay, I just visited Pat's LJ and the Drupa website and my god. rofl. This is brilliant shite! Since I'm sort of known for sharing random music I must share this musical link with all. This is funny fucking stuff. Drupa is apparently a European publishing company and they create a theme song each year about the company and here are some of them. Man, this is why Europeans are so much cooler than us. We never do fun stuff like this for our companies. lol. I love the 2004 song lyrics, "About a half a million fair visitors praise Drupa very high. And to give you a piece of advice? They will tell you about... welcome to Drupa City Düsseldorf! Drupa is the number one worldwide. You are on the right side! Drupa puts you in the spotlight."
Bwahaha. Here's the website: http://www.messe-duesseldorf.de/drupa/en/sp_song_2.html
Pat I do love you. This is great. Thank you.
