Beavis Analyzes Korn

I just bought the much anticipated Beavis and Butthead dvd collection and the first thing I did was watch the last dvd in the collection as it was the one that contained their commentary on various music videos. Which was really the thing I loved most about the show. I loved hearing them analyze the music videos in a way that was surprisingly insightful but at the same time very low brow and massively hilarious. One of my favorites is when they watched the music video for Blind, a song by Korn. They started off by generally saying the song sucks then Butthead remarks that getting dizzy is the one thing that would make this video both look and sound better. Beavis agrees and proceeds to make himself dizzy by sticking his thumb in his mouth and holding his breath for an inordinately long period of time. When he pulls his thumb out he wears a dazed and glassy eyed expression then gives the perfect example of a snooty intellectual music review. Here's the soundbyte:

Ahhh. I love it so. Is there really anything funnier than Beavis remarking that the video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter? Possibly. But damn if I can think of it right now.

But I did miss this show and I curse MTV for their unfair contract with Mike Judge that totally took advantage of his status as a first time animator. I can't help but be a little peeved on his behalf because it was his show, his creation, his talent that made the show so fucking popular but because of that contract MTV retained control of the show for years, even after its cancellation. Suck ass.
