Alice looks very cute in this episode. From start to finish cute. I think I might be biased because I like the relaxed look on girls and she's in baggy worn jeans and white shirt plus weird grey vest thing the entire episode. Plus her hair in a ponytail. Leisha's hair looks so much better darkened, I think. Anyway. Cute Alice from beginning to end in this depressing ass episode.
I'm sort of confused on the issue of Danish. It's hard to read what the fuck is going on there. I know that Lara is shortly leaving the show after episode six but I don't know... I saw love in the looks that Dana and Alice exchanged in the hospital but I'm not really sure if it's in love. Well, on Dana's part. I know how Alice feels. That's damn impossible not to know, right?
What surprised me is I'm strangely getting sort of into Dylan and Helena. I'm amused by like how a million times more butch Dylan is than Helena and she's the "straight girl" but I'm so not being the bigoted person who says straight girls can't be butch. I've played on enough sports teams to know there so can be butch straight girls. They exist and they're plentiful and they're sexy. It just amuses me. But Helena is uber femme anyway. I think the reason I mostly like Dylan and Helena is it's probably the only starting up romance on the show thus far and it's fairly... hrm... I guess not angsty? I mean, it's just cute how happy Helena is around Dylan and her big smiles and they do have fucking chemistry. I know that Helena will most likely get hurt by Dylan because of the atypical straight woman confusion or whatever but I'm content to watch this ship develop. I just like how happy Helena is when she's around Dylan and that's fun to watch. Along with them making out on a couch and Helena flashing her fucking delicious thousand watt smiles. Ha. So great.
Jenny's book got bought and she's going to have to edit it to make it more of a memoir and less a work of fiction. This shite reminded me of that crap with James Frey but whatever. I guess it's nice that Jenny sold something finally in the series. We knew it had to eventually happen. lol. Of course Carmen had to throw that at Moira when they're at the bar. I don't know what exactly is the point of Carmen's constant princess sniping at Moira but it needs to stop. She's irking the Mojo fan in me. lol. So the big shocking thing in this episode is the fact that Moira is wearing a strap on and when she's in Billie's office he's giving her a blow job. Jenny catches them. Ohh. Shocking.
Not at all. Who the fuck cares? I saw the point of the scene though. Moira explains the reason it happened is because he made her feel like a man and not a girl with a thing in her pants. I love Jenny, you know? I've adored her ever since S2 but her reaction to Moira saying this is just adding to the adoration basically. She's sweet and she's gentle and she holds Moira's face and tells her not to hide from her and then she takes Moira's hand and leads her out of Billie's office.
And okay, I love Alan Cumming. He's the man. But dude, Billie is a very skeevy character and was clearly after Moira in not a good way from their first meeting. And all right, from now on I'm calling Moira by Max and using male pronouns or whatever since, well, duh. Plus Billie is offering Max male hormones off the market and I'm sure that this is going to lead to some not good things since there is no doctor supervision involved. Plus Max isn't going through the traditional routes as to help in his transition. Not that I know tons about this but whatever. I know Mojo will have issues because of this though. Spoilers have told me that much. I do dig them as a couple and I hope they last.
Most are suspecting I'll talk a lot about Danish in this review and I have to say that I really can't. There's nothing I can say about them. I mean... I'm sort of confused as to what is going on there. I can't fucking read Dana at all and that's a continuing annoyance. I know how Alice feels and I know the acting in this episode is good and yes it's fucking sad as hell but until I can fucking read whatever the hell is going on with Dana I can't say squat about Danish working out in S3. It's all up in the air in that regards.
Tina looked weirdly hot in a tie. I'm still annoyed by her though. She did give Helena decent advice. I remain so enamored with Helena this season. I mean, she's fucking so gloriously vulnerable and beautiful and just great. Ahhhh. Helena. Much love.
One thought though? Shane is such a good friend. I mean, Alice looks heartbroken and destroyed when she finds out the truth and my god, return of the kick ass friend in defending Lara to Dana's parents and getting her in the hospital room and then hiding behind the curtain and tiny voice, I'm here? God. Killed me. But Shane looked just crushed when she found out about Dana, hunched over on the phone and then at the bar. Plus she was so anxious when she saw Alice, jumping to her feet and calling out to her. I do love Shane. I'm wondering though. In the Danish thread on MediaBlvd they were talking about the parallels in S2/S3 Danish and because of that I'm thinking of the time in S2 when Alice freaks out and Dana finds her lying on the bed and says she's right here and now Alice repeats that line to Dana in S3 at the hospital. Significant? Hmmm. Damn IC for making me think so much! I swear, Danish used to be fucking simple. Now it's all complex and shit. lol. My brain hurts.
Maybe it's my irrational on and off Bette disdain but I was really irritated that Bette was the one who got the last line to Dana in the hospital. I mean, I guess it was sweet for her to say they all loved her. Okay, it was sweet of her. I just would have much rather have had Alice or Shane say that. Those are the people who are really close to Dana, not Bette. I dunno. I sort of felt Dana was like a little sister to Bette but she wasn't super close to Bette. I felt Dana had that closeness with Alice and Shane and I can get Alice might have not felt comfortable going over there and doing that but why not Shane?
I remain irrationally annoyed Bette got that last line.
Stop being a sentimental end of the episode line hog, Bette! lol. Oh, and please god, stop telling Tina to fuck men in all your conversations with her. It's fucking annoying. Tina will fuck the penis if she feels like it and I don't think she wants to report back to you on that. Maybe she got the end line because she got the intro scene where she was in college and fucking that gay guy Coleman?
What the fuck kind of name is Coleman anyway? Bah. I'm done. lol. I need to stop this rant before I go off on a totally weird babble. Which is already possible. Ah! I wanted to link a song I recently just listened to again. Anyone who is a fan of the anime series Serial Experiments Lain already knows this song since it's the theme. It's very mellow and kick ass and just soothing. I've been listening to it while I try to finish ATWH Part 3.

ETA: Jaimie commented about the acoustic version of Duvet so I just went ahead and downloaded that since I haven't heard it and yes, on hearing it I think it's oh so good. Thus I am sharing it with all of you. Yes, yes, sad but I think the song is that good. All the versions of it. The band BOA is just good period, actually. I totally recommend downloading their album on iTunes.

ETAx2: I was just a big dumbass and posted on the L Word fanisode website asking about the formatting rules for the scenes you submit. But they totally don't say anywhere on there, that I could find anyway, if you have to write the scenes in a script screenplay format or if you could write them like you would in a novel. I would far prefer the latter since that's what I write my fanfics in. I could do either but I think the second format would show off my... errr... skills? Hah. Yes, like they are so fucking mighty or something.
