Non-Entertaining Anxiety Performance

Last night I actually went out with Michi. I picked her up at school and then we went skating and out to dinner at Ciceros so we could listen to some music there. All in all it was a very nice coupley night. Those aggressively suggesting more cute Michi moments might enjoy the fact that when I called her to ask if we were really going out I also asked if she had eaten. Her response was guilty and huffy, of course, and she said yes she ate. Then I ask what she ate. Her next response then, "Food!" I quiz more and get her to reveal she ate a whole box of croutons.

Yeah, croutons. Those crunchy bread thing salad toppings.

That's not a meal, that's toppings! Pat suggested I give her a container of bacon bits and say she can have that for dinner. lol. I feel very tempted to put a post it note on the croutons in her apartment that says, "Not a meal."

What else? She's also super hyped up about 4th of July and bought like... $150 worth of fireworks. I guess her and her parents used to blow shit up majorly back home in San Francisco. When I called her I also got the additional information that she was tempted by a stand when she was going to school and ended up buying more fireworks. So now at my friends barbeque on the fourth she'll be blowing up $175 worth of sparkly things. That should be serious fun though.

I'm super excited but weirdly nervous because Pat is coming to visit this week. I think he's here July 5-8. Per usual Michi has fucking work related shit to do. Some weird conference thing that she told me about a week or so ago in Chicago. She's flying out on Thursday to get there a day early because she has some sort of lecture thing to give and prepare for but I'm hoping I can drag her away from work for a few moments on Wednesday to introduce them.

I think the only reason I'm nervous is I have this strange idea that friends who live out of state and never hang out with me in my natural environment think I have this nonstop party of fun that I produce and honestly I'm boring as fuck and I feel bad because I have this desperate desire to entertain but I don't feel able.

Maybe I'll take him to the Way Out Club on Friday. Hot Damn, Bitch Slap Barbie, and That's My Daughter are playing so that should be good. I guess we could go to Attitudes or Novak's as well but I've been weirdly avoiding the gay scene lately. Dunno why. Much like avoiding local friends who have been either too hostile to Michi for my liking lately or just ditching me constantly.

Thus I worry I won't be able to make this very fun for him since I've been isolationist and hiding for the past three months.

In strange music news I've been listening to Kelly Clarkson nonstop. Yes, I love Kelly. Probably with a more pure love than most because I never watched American Idol. I honestly dig her music and couldn't give a shit about all the fucking her not being appreciative enough to the show for launching her career controversy.

What the fuck do I care? Kelly rules and I hate that even though I don't watch the show I can't help but know the stupid gray haired winner for this year, Taylor Hicks, because our country is so inundated with it. Bah! Watch Eurovision you fools! Lordi could destroy Taylor!
