Wizard Rock

Why I'm continued to be amazed by fandom I have no idea. For whatever reason I started off searching for Star Wars punk bands and instead I found a huge ass new genre. Wizard Rock. Otherwise known as the bands who play songs about the Harry Potter fandom.

The tricky part? To find one of these bands that I think is genuinely GOOD. lol. When I find such a band I'll definitely upload the songs here. So far my favorite is The Remus Lupins.

In other news my teacher in the online creative writing class I'm taking responded to my first story submission and I'm too freakily nervous to look at her comments. Yeah, lameness Nic be thy name.

ETA: I take it back. I found a band totally worth ordering their cd. It's actually a one man group called Oliver Boyd and The Rememberalls. Normally I loathe MySpace with everything that I am but I'm going to link you there just so you can hear some of the tracks yourself. It's genuinely good stuff. Meaning I think people will like the music even if you're not huge Harry Potter geeks.
