I go through this thing every six months or so where I grow my hair out then subsquently chop it all off. And by chopping it all off I mean going from shoulder length to a near buzzcut. What happens is I have short hair and I'm happy with how low maintenance it is then slowly but surely I'm honestly driven insane by the amount of people who mistake me for a boy because of said haircut and how I like to dress. Despite the fact I have size 36 D breasts. So I grow my hair out and for awhile I'm happy because I'm no longer being called sir. Then the length starts to drive me crazy and I chop it all off again.

And the cycle goes on and on and on and you get the point.

This Saturday I decided to fall into my predictable habits and had my hair cut super short again. I told the girlfriend what I was doing but I don't think she really understood what I meant when I said short because when I got back from seeing my hairdresser she just gaped at me and exclaimed, "I thought you were just getting it cut short!"

I stared at her and touched the fuzzy back of my head and said, "This is short."

She waved her hands dumbly at me and exclaimed, "Really short!"

"Yeah, I said I was cutting it short," I replied.

More staring and gaping and then she wandered away talking to herself. She's far too nice to say it out loud but I think it's safe to assume she hates the short haircut. Which somehow doesn't upset me. It almost amuses me and makes me want to keep it short. Because I'm evil. And I do like it short. I just hate being mistaken for a boy because I quite like being a woman and posessing a vagina and breasts and wish for other people to at least acknowledge I have them if not appreciate them visually.

I wonder if it's possible to break up with someone over a haircut? lol. It would be the funniest thing ever to ruin a relationship. "I'm sorry... I just can't take your haircut!" Heh.
