I'm a longtime Mystery Science Theater 3000 fangirl so of course I love the various projects the former members of the show are doing. Cinematic Titanic is pretty much a new revamp of MST3K where they show up on the screen and mock older sci-fi movies but RiffTrax which is what Mike Nelson has been up to is where you download mp3s of them riffing various mainstream movies and sync it up to the dvd you've rented.

If you're lazy like me you can find torrents that already have the rifftrax synced to the movie for you to watch. One of the best ones I've seen so far is the one for the Joel Schumacher steaming pile of poo that is Batman & Robin. It was one of their most requested movies on their forums from the fans and they did a great service in their hilarious commentary on it.

My favorite part is Mike's rant at the end of the movie which I've uploaded to YouTube because it amuses me just that much. It's sad, really, I'm that much of a comics fangirl that I'm still irked about this horrible crap of a movie even when Batman isn't my favorite comic franchise.

Yes, it will be quite some time before I ever get over the horror of X3 and what they did to the fabulousness that could have been a filmed Dark Phoenix Saga. Fucking plebians. Anyway, enjoy and giggle!
