van der Sparks

oneiric22 has got me somewhat into Gossip Girl again mostly through the pull of Michelle Trachtenberg being wonderfully crazy and appealing as Georgina Sparks who has more than a little bit of a nutty person obsession with Serena. I think it's fairly obvious through my fanfic that I'm someone who likes the more rare ships, the ones that tend to get the least attention in a fandom.

That being so I'm quite enamored with the idea of Georgina and Serena together. It helps that they have fabulous chemistry and an equally fabulous ship name in van der Sparks. There's tons of story potential with them.

Both characters certainly are fucked up in almost endless ways and there's so much emotional and psychological context you could explore in terms of why Georgina acts the way she does around Serena then there's the Blair factor. Even as someone who adores the idea of Serena with Georgina I can't deny the OTP femslash factor when it comes to Serena and Blair. They're pretty much perfect together.

All of it just yummy stuff in way of fanfic ideas.

I'm still on my British girl band kick and while listening to the Sugababes album Taller In More Ways I happened upon pretty much the perfect song for Georgina when it comes to Serena. I love cover songs so I do enjoy this song but as an honest music fan I have to say I think there are better tracks on the album. Still, it works for Georgina and I would giggle immensely if someone used it for a van der Sparks music video.
