That's right folks. I managed to get off my ass in the last nine fucking hours of the L Word fanlib contest. So if you're actually interested in reading my piddling crap and voting for me here goes the link!

http://lword.fanlib.com/

Apparently this crap is impossible to look through. I can email people invites to read and vote on my scene and that gives you a direct link. I have fourteen of those and I've used up four so far. So if you really want to read this scene leave me a comment with your email and I'll get it to you in that way. Otherwise, don't worry about it. Unless you want to fucking wade through all the entries! lol. You also have to register on the site to vote. Lame ass but whatever. It's L Word, right? lol. Damn. Why do I love lame things?

ETA: I wanted to post a link to the preview for episode 307 of The L Word. If you're a fan of Alice she kicks some major ass in this. Ah, I love her so.

ETA: ETA: I just posted the most insane ass shit in the Helacious thread at MediaBlvd. lol. I don't know why I do this crap. I feel compelled or something. I'm possessed by nerdy humor demons.

YEP, Alice definately kicks some major arse in that! Thanks for sharing it!
Anyway, the real reason I'm commenting is becuase of the fanlib. The link takes you to the site but not directly to your entry. Once logged in it says only people who've already voted can view it.
Now to the frustrating bit. Once logged in you have to fight your way through the hundreds of entries to find yours. If that's not bad enough, each entry pops up at random so after sifting through 50 or so you end up stumbling on the same ones again. I'm slowly finding my way to yours but I'm not quite there yet.
Needless to say I'll be voting for you. Having briefly read some of the other entries I can happily say that they're c-r-a-p! Also, having read your fanfic I'm confident that your scene will live up to expectations... that's when i find it.
Anyhoo, Adios. I must continue wading my way through fanlib crap.

PS. If there's an easier way of getting to your entry and I'm just stupid enough not to find it, please let me know.

I can do the email invitations and if you want me to do that for you just leave me your email address, okay? I'm really sorry. You can totally give up looking. But before that, if you want, maybe if you're registered the scene summary page might take you right to me. I think you might have to go for email. Let me know if this link works though.

hello there,

it takes a million hours to find your story on fanlib, I finally gave up. Please count me ınto the waiting list. Thanks a bunch.
Monday, February 13th, 2006 06:56 am (UTC)
Do you want me to email you an invitation that sends you the scene?
Monday, February 13th, 2006 06:58 am (UTC)
Bah! Ok, i thought i should try and find it by myself so that i didn't have to bother you but yeah, it's pretty impossible. Stupid ass crazy system.
Could you e-mail me an invitation too? Sorry!
Monday, February 13th, 2006 07:12 am (UTC)
It's really upsetting to find out how stupid i can actually get!
email is hunkymonk@hotmail.co.uk
Many apologies for my retardedness
Monday, February 13th, 2006 07:16 am (UTC)
yes please, that would be nice.
Monday, February 13th, 2006 07:51 am (UTC)
Email please?

And just so you all know, I'm not like heavily invested in this at all. So if you can't find the scene and my email invitations run out. Please don't waste time searching unless you really feel like wasting time. lol. I'm already pretty low ranked as it is. So whatever. I think I'm like an average rating of 1.83

I would be depressed but I'm listening to Britney Spears and I still haven't slept. So, you know, Nic is hella manic!

No problem! I just emailed you. Thanks for the interest in my piddling hobby. lol.
Monday, February 13th, 2006 10:49 am (UTC)
somehow I tried it again on the site and after 3 or 4 clicks I found your story. Thanx for finally showing everyone how a well written scene has to look like.
By far the most believable stuff I've read there so far.
You have my vote.

my addy sucks ass, well, what can I say, I was young and Buffy addicted and I liked the stupid cat.
Monday, February 13th, 2006 11:53 am (UTC)
Dude. I loved Buffy as well. But I was totally into Faith. Miss Kitty Fantastico was a great name for a pet though. I love weird pet names. I still mourn the loss of Tara. Lame.

Phew, at least i wasn't the only one to give up, pull my hair out and go to bed. An email link would be fab. I honestly did try hard to find it myself though. It was just a bit of a nightmare.

As for the loss of Tara, I'm with you there. I'm still in mourning...
Monday, February 13th, 2006 01:59 pm (UTC)
Sent! I think the worst part about Tara dying was that her "replacement" was so horribly lacking in comparison. Why can't they ever kill off the stupid characters? I would've far preferred to see Xander die than Tara. Or Tina instead of Dana.
Monday, February 13th, 2006 03:30 pm (UTC)
I got lost on this site.... I think they do it on purpose.
anyway, of course I would like to vote for you, if you still want or need people to do that, send me an email, I will send it to you via yahoo msng later.

btw, I read your fic the other day, what is your problem exactly, because so far I think it looks pretty good.

Hey, that fanlib site is impossible to navigate! Do I really have to read through everything before I find your entry? I'm a selective reader...

So, I've come out of lurkdom and I'm now requesting... "Could you send me an invite please? (Email: daonesss@yahoo.com, my account nickname is rebelzz)" /does best Dana impersonation... I think Erin Daniels is super cute when she gives that confused blank look. Heheheh.

Kel w/o LJ (still a blog user)

Sent! lol. Haven't seen you in awhile Kel w/o LJ. Where's your blog so I can lurk there? lol.

Just have to rant about the fanlıb sıte. 98% of the crap written there ends with Dana ending up on a couch (mostly on Bette and Tina's strangely) after another fight with Alice. Alice is portrayed like the super clingy, super crazy stalker weirdo and whatnot. I wonder if these people get Alice like ..at all.

And about Tara, I agree, Xander should have been the one instead of her or how about Dawn? She was so annoying at times. I was also sad about the death of Anya and Xander's idiotic tiny response to that. sigh.
Tuesday, February 14th, 2006 10:53 am (UTC)
The reason why everything ends with Dana on a couch is that's the final assignment for the scene. Though MOST don't follow this rule you're supposed to match what you write there to the assigned scene outline. Which starts with Tibette in the hospital and a reference to a longterm lesbian couple they make friends with, Danish in conflict over Alice's clingy behavior, and then ending with Tibette coming home with Angelica and Dana on a couch. Though they don't say whose couch. Most people, like me, interpreted that to mean Dana on Tibette's couch.

oh, k. thanks for explaining. I guess i missed that part totally. i feel slightly silly now.
Tuesday, February 14th, 2006 12:17 pm (UTC)
No big! lol. You have to search through the site menu and crap to get the rules and then the actual scene assignment. Unless you're writing a scene yourself there's really no reason for you to do that.
