I have my first nightmare client. This girl was in a hurry and she claimed to have called the court so I took her word for it when she filled out the lost ticket form that it was in the court she said and on the date that she said. Usually I call the court to verify just because it's easy to get courts and dates mixed up, right?
So the entry is written up and then returned from the court of Wellston saying her ticket isn't with them. I call the client and no answer. I leave a message. This is on Monday. I leave a message every day and still no reply from this chick. Even after I tell her that if she doesn't have any idea where the ticket is in she'll go into warrant. NO PHONE CALL. I guess some people don't care about being possibly arrested and having a warrant hanging over their head. Ah well.
Feeling somewhat responsible as I took her money without verifying if she was indeed full of bullshit I decided to call some courts. How many courts, Nic? 37 courts! Lo and behold, none of these courts had a ticket for her set in them. I swear I hate this girl.
But hey, I have my first client horror story. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I still fucking love this job though. Life is good.
