I've always loved driving at night, especially in the summer. There is something about driving on the highway at top speed with the windows down and the lights of the other cars and civilization passing me by that just fucking calms me. It seriously makes me mellow and I truly do love it.
Sometimes when I get irritated I go out around 11 pm and just drive around. Of course, with gas prices lately I do that way less but it really does help me sort of normalize and become at ease with everything that's going on in my life no matter how crazy or complicated.
One of the best things about taking my classes at UMSL, besides the fact they're very fulfilling and I'm having fun already, is the fact they're at night and I now have an excuse to drive late at night doing just what I described above.
When I drive at night I totally zone out listening to my music and there are certain songs that are the fucking best for doing this. I dunno why I enjoy the complete lack of brain function when I drive at night but I honestly do. I adore putting these tracks on and just letting them semi hypnotize my brain as I whiz along the highways.
Silent Cruising by Two Mix is most effective song for this I've found.
That feeling of zoning out while I drive just fucking rocks to me. But I'm weird as hell. Anyway! Here are some songs which tend to cause this when I listen to them. Here's an idea, play them yourself at night while driving and see if they have a similar effect. Maybe I'm not alone in my weirdness. Somehow I doubt it though.

Obviously that makes no sense but i'm very tired right now so maybe i didn't stand a chance.
Moooooooving on! - You're definitely not alone on the driving thing. I go out for random drives all the time. Tis surely the best way to relax. And always with the music too. Perfect combination!
I'll have to download the ones you've listed when i get a chance and see what i think. Good call!!
