I learned last weekend that math nerds can fucking drink.
On Saturday I went out with Michi because some of her colleagues, okay, all of her colleagues, threw her a welcoming party. And I dunno what the hell it is about this Math department but they can DRINK like nothing I've ever seen. My gf, bless her cute and tiny body, loves hard alcohol like Saki, Vodka, Jack Daniels, Tequila, you know, all the usual suspects, but she can't hold her booze at all.
Thing is, unless you know her you have no idea she's blasted. So the entire party we had at Duff's her colleagues kept buying her more booze because she didn't look or act buzzed at all to them. On the other hand, I knew she was gone after three drinks.
Funniest and most adorable thing ever? They had an equation solving drinking game. Seriously, people. What happened is some of them came up with different Calculus equations using differentials, integrals, multi-variables and shit. Michi and her friend Jack, who got hired maybe two years ago, were the players. They drank a shot then had to solve the equation. Whoever solved the equation first wins the game. Michi won six straight challenges in a row before she lost by a five section solve the equation ratio. Dude. I know. They had someone timing it too. On one of those old school digital watches that's so Revenge Of The Nerds. Fastest drunken calculus solve rate Michi had? 58 seconds!

It was nerdy but cute and hilariously fun stuff. I honestly can't wait to party with these people again. But knowing Michi's workaholic ways it might have to be in her puny office at the university. Ah well. In other news related back to her, she's decided that next semester she wants to start up classes in order to earn a PHD in Mathematics. So... yeah.

oneiric22 found the most hilarious and gayest supernatural soap opera ever, Dante's Cove. The first season is out on dvd and I'm sorely tempted to buy it. Mostly because it sounds super funny in its over the top nature and it stars Tracy Scroggins who I've thought was hot ever since her days in Lois & Clark.
