I got the hook up on a discount for both an iPhone and a new iMac. Yes, right now Nic is severely poorer but in nerdy heaven. I've had my faithful G4 PowerMac since 1996 and it has served me very well over the years and I will always hold a fond place for it in my heart but dude... if my iMac was a lesbian I would go to glamorous New Jersey and get civil unioned with it.

20" screen, 2.4 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo, 320GB hard drive, and 4 GB RAM.

:::Sigh:::

So pretty, so very very pretty. I also love my iPhone but fear seeing my huge itemized bill. I know my bill won't go up because I've had Cingular/AT&T forever and quite like their service but apparently they itemize everything so even though I get unlimited access to the internets I will have each visit to the free internets itemized with a nifty $0.00 next to it.

Stupidly hilarious, no?

I've downloaded iFuntastic, shhhhhhh illegal mod, which allows me to put custom ringtones onto the iPhone. My favorite ringtone thus far is this one which I call the most dramatic ringtone ever. See if you can guess the the song and artist it comes from before you see it revealed beneath the LJ Cut.

Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) by Journey! Or at least the super dramatic delicious end to the song. Yeah, I'm a sad Journey fan. I admit it now. Especially of that song.

Right now I'm working somewhat hard on getting ready for Yurisai and my two panels. For the American Comics panel I'm gathering nifty pictures to share which feature the characters/couples we're talking about to give nice visuals for those who come and have no clue what we're talking about. I'm also working on a somewhat lame looking flyer for that panel which has links for the series and characters. Though good links are hard to find. For the Fanfic panel I'm doing another flyer type thing which is basically going to outline some of the writing concepts we'll be discussing and will have good fanfic/bad fanfic examples on it.

I'm going to start writing that this week. Most likely tomorrow. Hopefully Sean, who is in charge of panels at Yurisai and is on the Fanfic panel with me, will find my dinky writings acceptable. Especially the bad fanfic writing examples which are... well, pretty fucking bad if you ask me.

How fucking bad? My favorite bad fanfic writing example is for plot which focuses on a story where Makoto from Sailor Moon is addicted to drugs and Ami catches her selling her Henshin pen on the street for another hit of Crack Cocaine. lol. Yeah, that's bad. But funny! At least, that's what I hope people who read it think.

OOooOOoo..iMac and iPhone prettiness.
I got a brand new macbook pro just over a week ago. I understand your joy. I was going to treat myself to a new iMac but I needed something portable for uni.
Damn jealous about the iPhone though. I wish they'd hurry up and release it downunder. Hopefully by that time there will be some good hacks for it.

Who cares about the bill. Everything, including bills, pales in comparison to new Apple goodness.

The battery life is really good. It can get drained fairly quickly if you're watching a lot of videos but that's really the only downside to it. I find it lasts very long if you're calling, playing on the internet, searching email, using iTunes. It's only constant video use that drains it fast.

Dude, the iMac takes up no space at all. That's why it rules so much. It is heavy with the metal casing and all but I can't believe how much cleaner my desk looks with the iMac on it. Honestly, it's so fabulous.

The bill isn't a complaint. Like I said, I've had AT&T for awhile, over ten years now, and as a result I have really cheap rates. My bill only went up 10 bucks for getting unlimited access to the internets. I just find it hilarious that people are getting pages of bills that say $0.00 on line after line.

I would hook up the whole world with Mac discounts if I could but I don't think my friend Matt would like that very much. lol. Sorry.

I'm still writing. In fact I'm working on a humorous original fiction type essay collection. It's hard to explain but is basically me trying to stupidly follow in the amusing footsteps of David Sedaris and Augusten Burroughs.

Also I'm working on fanfics for Maria-sama Ga Miteru and Xena. I know, I know, how different can you get but I'm in a weird mood lately.

my fellow mac enthusiast :) I am rather jealous of your iphone, but there is a nice gadget in my car, which allows me to connect my ipod to my car and I can chose songs and scroll up and down via my steering wheel.
and I want the new Power Book so much, it almost hurts.
But I am broke (see car above, which is so awesome I could live in it).

I hope you post some of your stories soonish?
