Read Bad HP Fanfic Out Loud

One of my favorite things that was at Yuricon once upon a time was Read Bad Fanfic Out Loud. It wasn't as good as I hoped the first time around and I hoped we'd do it again for the second year but it probably got nixed due to fear of insulting the fanfic writers whose work would get picked to read out loud. Which kind of sucks.

Anyway! YouTube doesn't have such worries. There's an epically bad Harry Potter fanfic called My Immortal and it's apparently become quite famous on the interwebs. So famous that people on YouTube have been doing hilarious dramatic readings for it on YouTube.

I'm going to post a link to my favorite out of all the videos which is the reading for Chapter 17 done by a member of Something Awful. The end is particularly hilarious. Normally I'd post things in order but honestly, this fic is so bad and confusing it doesn't matter what order you read it. lol. Just know it involves a horrible goth Mary Sue called Ebony who is a vampire and dating Draco Malfoy.

Dude, just watch the video. It's fucking funny, trust me.

To be fair to HP fanfics, this one was written badly on purpose by a brilliantly hilarious troll. But you know, bad fanfic is in every fandom. It's a law of averages. For everything good there is crap. lol.
