I have a little bird house that I attached to a tree stump in the backyard of our duplex. It was built for these pretty Cardinals which frequent our area but recently it has been claimed by the evil that is Blue Birds. The Cardinals have temporarily relocated to my neighbors yard and their bird house.

Vlad has a specific areas he's allowed to pee and poop in. He poops in the far right corner of the yard and he can pee on the tree stump and a small tree. Since he's been trained to do this, those are the only options for peeing and pooping that he has in his mind.

Lately, every time he goes out and pees on the tree stump the new occupants of the bird house dive bomb him from various angles. They're not attacking him because they never get close to hitting him but they're definitely trying to intimidate him. I'm torn by amusement and irritation with the situation.

Amusement because Vlad isn't bothered by it and is quite entertained by the Blue Bird trying to scare him off. He usually stares at it then goes back to peeing. I am irritated because these birds kicked out my pretty, red, and good tempered, Cardinals though.

I'm going to try and take pictures of it the next time I let him out. It's something to see.

ETA: I've attempted to take photos of the Blue Bird dive bombing and it's just not possible to capture as it happens. Plus Vlad pees quickly. Though he has taken to standing around the area after he's done to irritate and/or study the birds. However, I do have pictures of both parties in their natural environment during this fiasco. Voila!

Me too! Although I would get your kids addicted to video games and Japanese animation. lol. I'm attempting to get video with my digital camera of the dive bombings. They continue to amuse and perplex us.
