Reese finally made her grand appearance today and Tamara Braun did indeed bring the pretty. Although Mimo freaked me the hell out by dressing up like a French Poodle named Fifi for Halloween. I think Bianca was similarly disturbed when she first saw her. Can't say I blame her. She probably thought her girlfriend had better costume choice control.
While Tamara Braun looked quite lovely next to Eden Riegel there wasn't any immediate sparks between them but to be fair I don't really think Eden is that kind of actress or Bianca is that kind of character. With the exception of the have my sister's husband secretly father my baby without asking her permission storyline she's got going on now Bianca has been always been the perpetual nice girl of Pine Valley. Which doesn't really lend to having chemistry laden love interests. It's not the nice girl gig, you know? Plus ABC has an obvious desire to tone down her romantic stories.
What bugs me is Bianca has been around as a lesbian character for eight years now and she's gotten to kiss another woman how many times? I think the mighty count is up to four now but I could be wrong. I know for sure the one famous don't go kiss with Lena and then two trying to prove my love kisses with Maggie, once with Bianca as the initiator and then once with Maggie. Then I rounded up one just because.
Bianca was in the middle of a fucking tornado and gave birth to the baby Reese considers her daughter prematurely and when they see each other for the first time all they do is hug? Lame! Super lame. Sure it was a long hug but it's just a hug. Hardly the sort of romantic gesture that fits a couple that is getting engaged.
I hope they have some sort of kiss during the engagement scene. If they don't kiss then I guess that's a clear sign we'll be seeing a very pretty but fairly desexualized lesbian couple for the length of the characters time on the show. Which sucks. But I do really like how Reese interacts with Bianca. They're very sweet together.
