Watch This! Preview of Doom

No Bianca and Reese today but one motherfucking hell of a spoilery video preview for this month on All My Children. For those who like to remain pure and not ensconced in horrific drama I'm LJ cutting this.



Reese kisses Zach all passionately. Wheeee. Yet another confused lesbian that Bianca is dating. Yet another woman who betrays and cheats on her in some fashion. However, someone on the Bianca & Reese board, which usually drives me batty with people overreacting, brought up a good point. Reese does say that everyone in Pine Valley makes her question herself and then she kisses Zach. Perhaps she kisses Zach to prove to herself that what she feels on kissing him is just nothing compared to what she feels when she kisses Bianca.

Then after the wedding Reese tells Bianca about the kiss and Bianca, feeling betrayed yet again, runs off to Paris with Reese following shortly to beg for forgiveness because apparently Reese sticks around in Pine Valley for whatever reason after Bianca leaves. This seems plausible to me.

What else makes me absurdly happy is the fact that Greenlee "dies" by going off the road and plunging into the same river that poor Leo "died" in and they never recover her body just like what happened with Leo. Maybe if Rebecca Budig comes back for another stint as Greenlee they can bring her back all amnesiac with Leo. That pleases me so much because Greens is dead but it's easily fixed if RB wants to return so yay on that.

I'm thinking it will play out like how I outlined above and in which case, I won't feel like the couple is entirely doomed and will probably retain motivation to keep writing fanfic for them. I am bummed that Bianca is going to get hurt yet again in romance. I just wanted her to have a happy ever after relationship where she doesn't get burned and it looks like that's not going to happen.

Which means I am so fucking writing that AMC/L Word crossover fic that retcons the shows a bit so there's no Gabrielle and Reese and Bianca instead hooks up with Helena who is just fucking perfect for her and shares a freakish amount of history in common with Binks. Plus, dear god, the sheer pretty of that hook up would be crazy.

On a lame shallow note, I think Kendall looks cute in that hat.

Sadly, I was relieved that Breese wasn't on today. Why? The idea that a grown woman has to kiss someone else, anyone else, to figure out that she really loves her spouse pisses me off no end.

Watching isn't enjoyable even when ER and TB do good work because they're doing good work in service of a crap plot.

As someone who only comes on board when ER is back, I'll be tuning out the minute the commercials crank up after her last scene.

Why must you tease me!! Bianca/Helena, Helena's one of my favorite L Word characters, how cool was she last Sunday when Dylan sent her those flowers and she used one to pick up that chick at the bar?

I'm not teasing. lol. If Bianca and Reese implode and break up a few weeks after their wedding I really doubt I'll have the motivation to keep writing an epically long fanfic for them but I will still want to see Bianca happy, even if only in impossible fanfic crossover form so I would most likely move onto that AMC/L Word crossover fic since I think Helena and Bianca would be the most perfect couple ever.

Watching Bianca and Reese is basically like waiting for doom to strike at this point. I'm really bummed out about all these spoilers. It seems like each time Bianca is on the show they screw her over worse.

Was it you who mentioned that Bianca never drives her own plot? If it was, good call.

It totally sucks not to be able to look forward to seeing Breese, doesn't it? And although this has nothing to do with anything, it rankles that TB might stay on after ER leaves. I realize that times are tough and having a gig in hand pays the rent but...

It's hard though. I spent a lot of time writing that fanfic and I've enjoyed plotting it out. This all sucks so much since TB has made Reese really likable to me. I dunno. I'm not doing anything until I see it all play out and I'm not ready to call it a farce as of yet.

Believe me, I feel your pain: I had to write a multi-part story when er screwed over Kerry Weaver and Kim Legaspi, just to get it out of my system!

I just find it hard to believe that the writers will be able to come up with something that I will find satisfying. Although I have no doubt that ER and TB will be able to sell it...but that's a different thing.

As someone who likes Reese and has been watching TB for years, I absolutely despise what they are doing to her. I guess that's what I get for putting some trust in Pratt, but having Reese and Zach makeout is way over the line. It's perpetuating a sterotype that lesbians just haven't met the right guy. I'm not even gay and even it pisses me off! I would love for B/R to recover after this, but having Reese and Zach makeout just proves everyone's suspicions about Reese to be correct. Unless it's a very "lesbian" thing to do to makeout with your fiancé's sister's husband just to be sure that you are gay and should marry a woman.

Eh, I feel like expecting a couple, ANY couple, to last on AMC is like expecting that from BtVS. (Still, I don't even watch any more, and I want to vomit.)

My brain is so fried with the shitfest that is AMC's writing that I think I'm just gonna reply with a nod and not much else. I'd love to sound more intelligent than this little LJ box reply probably makes me sound, but my god AMC why do they have to make things so damn difficult??? I know that there's hardly ever happiness on a soap opera, but isn't there usually the token older character who is (at least almost) always happy and gives good advice to the messed-up youngin's? Why can't that be Bianca with her handy-dandy, happily married partner Reese? Reese has had such a tough life from what little we've heard and she, much like Bianca, does not deserve to have so much more useless shit thrown her way.

The only really positive thing I can say from all that is that at least ER and TB are doing a decent job of portraying their respective parts in such terrible situations. Though, like xanjames said, even that is becoming somewhat painful because you know they also want their characters to be happy.

In terms of fic, I know you'll go with whatever you feel like in continuing or not, but I think continuing could have a 50/50 impact; the positive being that it can allow us to see the awesome, (mostly) happier times of Bianca and Reese that we were robbed of on the show in part because happy soap opera characters just don't bring in the ratings.

So boo AMC and yay whatever you decide to do with the Bianca/Reese fic. I am still anxiously looking forward to the Bianca/Helena fic, for they are super hot and together would just make my brain go nuts.
