Juri's Surname Is Angst

Or it should be. Although Juri Angst isn't nearly as cool sounding as Juri Arisugawa. I got bored and am in the process of rewatching all of Revolutionary Girl Utena and yes, I still fangirl worship Juri above all other anime lesbians despite the fact she's made of angst. I can't help myself. She's also inexplicably the example of cool.

Would I ever want to date her if she was real? Oh no. But I love watching her angsty exploits.



Wherein Juri loses a duel but not really because what the hell with that freak sword falling down perfectly to cut off her rose? Lame! Lame.

And this time Juri just gives up on fighting the duel due to her own angst at having the precious Shiori locket cut from her neck. Although she should be glad to be rid of that dead weight.

What I love about the Utena and Juri duels is how Utena always rushes to attack and Juri just stands there and bats her away like she's a fly. Ahhh, Juri. Why so cool? Why so angsty? I also confess to adoring the music in Utena. Especially the duel music which had incomprehensible lyrics that make no fucking sense. I love it. They never cease to amuse me.

Lets end this inane Juri worshipping post with amvs dedicated to her angstiness. Also, just for random remarking sake, why is Juri so pretty when she's sad? It's a horrible thing to realize as a fangirl of hers. Poor Juri.

Juri=WIN pretty much. Tho I wish more authors would do after series fic. I'd love to see more stories where Juri dumps Shiori like a bad smell and finds a worthy partner.
