So all who read my piddling ramblings know that Barnes & Noble didn't make me full time. Or that they put me on a fucking waiting list to see how I match up against other people they hired who want to work full time. Becoming vexed at this deception I start sending out my resume mightily to various retail, customer service, and otherwise jobs because I need fucking full time money, right?

One thing I'm happy about is this week I got contacted by St. Louis Courts and Children's Services and I'm going to be doing my internship with them for my Paralegal certification for Sanford Brown. I've already talked to my boss there and she's super fucking cool and it looks like it will be a fun experience and not at all boring with me just fucking filing papers and doing brain dead stuff. I think I'm actually going to be spending a ton of time with the kids there. I'm rather excited about that. The woman was strangely impressed with me and she started asking me if I'm considering going to UMSL, where she went to college, to get a BSW for Social Work because I gave her my little resume of volunteer work I've done over the years. I told her I wasn't thinking about it but asked her why she inquired and she was like, "With your experience and the paralegal certification you could get work really easily with BSW."

Maybe I'll look into it. Who knows, right? We'll see how this experience goes. It is an option because I'm one of those people who perversely enjoys going to school perpetually. I mean, my gf is a graduate student who is aiming to remain in academics by becoming a staff member at her university after graduation. Which I totally think will happen since Michi is hella smart.

Anyway! Today my fruitless job hunt got so much better. I actually called Pat to say I was considering the lowest of retail lows applying at Target or K-Mart, but never Walmart because Walmart is the product of Satan and everyone needs to watch Walmart: The High Cost of Low Prices documentary which reveals their many evils, because I'm just not hearing back from anywhere I applied. Then I'm sitting in class and oh yes, the gods of "cool" jobs smile upon me! Moolah Theatre is hiring and they want to set up an interview with me and despite what they put on their website they ARE hiring for full time people.

I do the whole "cool" job thing because according to many a tween and otherwise the places I tend to manage for retail and otherwise are considered to be that. Hello Kitty, Gamestop, Suncoast, Lids, Laser Tag, Tower Music, Borders, Fantasy Emporium... the list goes on and on.

But Moolah Theatre! I hope I get this job because it's in the city really close to where I live and it's just such a fucking nice movie theatre. It got voted best in St. Louis by the Riverfront Times. For those curious, here's the website for the super fancy place I could possibly be working at...

Know what the best thing about Moolah Theatre is? Kids five years old and under can't go into movies PG-13 and up after 5 pm at night. Ahhhh, such joy. I love them. Kids in movie theatres really suck ass.
