Meet The Rollergirls

After talking on Yahoo Messenger with ackemat I suddenly realized that not everyone who comes to this piddling LJ will know what's the deal with my Rollergirls inspired LJ theme. Thus I am making this post to rectify that horrible assumption on my part. Rollergirls is a totally kick ass reality show on A&E about the women of the TXRD Roller Derby league. There are five teams, The Holy Rollers, Putas del Fuego, Rhinestone Cowgirls, Cherry Bombs, and The Hellcats. The main picture for my LJ theme features from left to right Miss Conduct, Sister Mary Jane, and Punky Bruiser from The Holy Rollers. I chose pictures of them because The Holy Rollers are my favorite team and those are among my favorite players on the team. Who is my number one favorite player? SMJ (Sister Mary Jane) hands down. She's hilarious and super mellow and fucking kick ass on the rink and she happens to be the number one scoring Jammer in the league. Go SMJ! Oh yeah, and she's a special education teacher. I know, different, right?

Fresh Baked Video Games

Some of you might already know of this but I recently discovered a show on the awesome Spike TV called Fresh Baked Video Games which is a hilarious comedy sketch creation that basically mocks various points of the video game industry. Here's some clips from it:

Tonight's episode was the ultimate. It was called Secret Lives Of Video Games and it did revealing reports on the lives of different video game characters. Including Donkey Kong and his recovery from alcoholism as he started drinking when he injured his shoulder and could no longer do his barrel throwing without the aide of booze. Hee. Too funny.
