River Monsters

I hate freshwater fish. I hate to eat them. I hate how they smell. I hate how they look. I hate the idea of them as pets. Generally they creep me out. They're slimy and alien looking and just... ew. Aquarium fish are okay. The ones found in the ocean don't bother me, I'm not sure why. I still don't like to eat them but they don't seem alien and weird.

That being said, with all of my loathing of freshwater fish, why the fuck have I been watching River Monsters on Animal Planet for the past few hours? I HAVE NO IDEA. rofl. I cannot stop myself. I'm so fucking creeped out by these goddamn fish this guy goes after but I can't stop watching!

It's sick, really it is. Oh yeah, and the snakehead? That fucker is evil. I felt compelled to read more on that fish after watching the show about it and I already knew how invasive and horrible it was to our natural ecosystem but now I'm bummed and pissed off because it seems inevitable it's going to spread across our country. It's way too aggressive and breeds too quickly and I have no idea how fish and wildlife services have any hope of stopping it without killing our own native species in the process. I mean, basically it's going to off all our own native fish and take over and honestly, how many Americans want to eat snakehead? Not many. I don't see it showing up on the menu at Red Lobster anytime soon. It will fuck over our fishing industry. Long story short? Whoever introduced it to our waters is a huge asshole, seriously.

Now I'm watching an episode about a huge catfish in the Amazon that eats people. Why can't I turn this off?
