Today I worked with DJ due to him wanting some days off. It was odd not opening the store myself on Sunday but ah well. But we were lamenting the fact that Jem Season 3 still hasn't come into our store yet. Horrors of horrors! I'm the only person in St. Louis that special ordered the damn thing and our store is the only one who hasn't gotten the damn thing in. To say that's irritating is an understatement. Anyway, DJ and were lamenting this and he started saying Jem is a good idea and it should be redone... like how they're redoing all of the 80s cartoons or just plain stealing from them lately.
DJ's idea was to rename it Jim! and have it be about an unsuccessful white rapper who lives in the ghetto in an apartment building filled with his 20+ siblings and 30+ kids along with other people. He finds the hologram machine and makes himself a black using the holograms and as a black man, is suddenly popular as a rapper. I thought it was a good idea. We thought The Misfits should be a group of guys who are the kids of already successful rappers thus using the Pizzazz is a rich Daddy's girl angle for the new series.
I just like the reworked, "Jim Is Excitement!" tagline. Too funny.
We also discovered the genius that is Misty Mundae has a new horror/porn movie coming out called Bite Me. I adore her so. Here is the movie plot, taken from official ads for it mind you...
"When a hybrid strain of bio engineered marijuana is delivered to a secluded strip club, it brings with it a monstrous army of insect creatures and a renegade U.S. federal agent with a big chip on his shoulder. Soon the stealthy, fist sized bugs are busily engorging themselves on human blood, their bite effecting a particularly potent narcotic reaction in those attacked. An exterminator is brought in to halt the infestation, but he is helpless against the eight legged onslaught, so everyone becomes a potential meal. And if the trapped victims don't think their situation could get any worse, wait until the federal agent turns into the biggest, baddest bug ever to walk on two legs."
Hehehe. I must see this movie. Right now I'm manning the register at the Motorcycle Shop as Jake and the new girl, Marcy, finish up the paint job on the '67 Vulcan. Not much going on here but tonight I'm going out to dinner with Suzanna, Van, and... Sanford Brown President! Yes, folks. I have won my game. She's gay. Or bisexual. Either way she flirted with Van and is going out to dinner with us. I'm very pleased because, well, she's really cool.
And pretty. Oh... I cannot even begin to say how much I love the pretty. Tonight WILL rock.
