I just got finished watching the new episode in Masters of Horror by Showtime which is Sick Girl starring the one and only Erin Brown aka Misty Mundae. I'll call her Erin from now on since she's not going by Misty due to being forced to sell that name. Bah. That sucks.

Anyway! Sick Girl was truly a delight to watch. Although, ironically, it wasn't really that scary. Even at the end of the movie I wasn't scared by the smallest margin. However! Erin and her costar Angela Bettis were just completely adorable as a pair of equally nerdy lesbians who fall in love with each other and end up having some problems with a poisonous and killer bug that escapes into their apartment. The cutest moment might be how we're first introduced to Angela's character, Ida, who is an entomologist that always loses her girlfriends or potential girlfriends because she happens to really love her job and keeps bugs at home as pets. Most girls don't dig that, even though Ida keeps them safely inside of their habitats. Except for that one evil bug that escapes.

But Ida is listening to this really great song by Poperratic, which I'll link later on, and doing this adorable like butt wagging dance as she prepares for her date. You know that dance that you do when you're looking forward to a date oh so much and the music is helping to psych you up for your date and help you act sexy as you go through what you want to do on the date in your mind? Uhmmm...

Okay, maybe me and Ida are the only people who do that.

The movie continued to be cute. Especially when Ida meets Misty for the first time. Yeah, Erin gets to play a character named Misty. I wonder why? lol. Erin played nerdy and shy really hilariously well in Spiderbabe and she doesn't disappoint in Sick Girl. Honestly, I think this movie was probably one of the funniest short sweet lesbian romances I've seen and it's a fucking horror movie. Then again, it's not very scary. Odd, right?

I don't want to give away the ending but for all of you who are like me and fucking despise the dead lesbian cliche and figure that hey... lesbian romance in a horror movie, death death death! Hee. Pat, I was flashing to that panel from the bad X-Men comic with Destiny saying that over and over. I need to find my scan of that and upload it here. It's too funny.

But if you hate dead lesbians and don't want to watch Sick Girl out of some belief that's what this movie is about don't worry. I hate that fucking cliche and I remain happy with this movie. I will say that, again, it's not really scary. It is cute though and Erin is utterly fabulous. Here's the song that I liked so much in the opening scene where Ida is getting her entomologist boogie on...

Oh yeah! Sulky gave me this link earlier today when we were chatting and I still feel compelled to share it with the general populous. Mostly because it amuses me and I sort of want to try and remember one of these phrases to shout out in bed myself. I wonder how Michi would react to that?

Maybe I'm just warped but I would really love to see her reaction if I suddenly cried out, "My very being is dissolving into waves of pleasure and liquid pearls!"

The reason I'm curious is because Michi is so delightfully deadpan and dry humor, you know? Hardly anything throws her and I'm not even sure she would stop whatever she was doing if I did that. After we were done she'd probably be like, "What the fuck did you say earlier?"

Haha, were you in on the conspiracy to hide their existence from me? lol. Man! I can't believe I had no idea. And I'm SO Korean, too.

I have totally eaten parts of pigs and chickens in Asian dishes that is making my stomach say "yeah, just give up on food and switch to an intravenous tube. You would deal with life a lot easier"
