Why is 95% of it AU when it has such a well developed and awesome canon universe to work in? I don't know why there are so many Fate and Nanoha are normal high school girls fic out there. I mean, if you want to write that... just have them in school still and not working. They do have periods of time in between missions. Good fanfic is hard to find.

Well, as a Nanoha AU writer it actually IS hard to write certain stories in canon. Like having a grown up Fate & Nanoha meet for the first time.

I guess I'm just way over AU fics. I can't stand them these days. So seeing a plethora of them irritates me when I just want something based out of the canon universe rather than them being normal girls or Fate being a rock star or Nanoha is a pirate or something else ridiculous.

About the only AUs I like are ones played for humor. I mean, Pirate! Nanoha could be funny. Maybe. That's about all.

And I pretty much loathe highschool AUs for anything. *lol*
