Lovin La La

I love Primus and Les Claypool and recently I bought a cd from Gabby La La, an artist that has toured with him and that he has been advertising for a few years as fucking brilliant. I'm not sure about the brilliant part but she's amusing as hell and her songs are super unique and different. She's got a little girl singing voice that's really crazy and her lyrics are just... Primus quality strange. I've uploaded three of her songs from her album Be Careful What You Wish For. If you actually agree with me on the greatness in her oddity then by all means let me know and I'll upload all the songs. lol. I'm enjoying her that fucking much.



To give you some sense of what you're about to listen to here are the song lyrics to my favorite song on the album, Walkie Walkie, which sort of creeps me out but fucking mesmerizes me at the same time. Every time I listen to it I think of Hansel and Gretel which totally freaked me out as a kid because of the fact that, you know, an evil ugly ass witch was making little kids fat with candy and cooking them. Scary fucking shit, I say. Why read that to your kids? Traumatizing as hell. Then again, most fairy tales are fucked up. That's why they're cool. But song lyrics away!

Messed up, right? lol. But the song is so fucking cool to me for some reason. By all means listen for yourself and make your own mind up. Lord knows a lot of my friends find my tastes just way too messed up for them at times. lol. I can't help it! I love weird ass crap. Maybe because that's pretty much how I see myself. Another totally weird thing? One of my favorite anime series of all time is Fancy Lala which is about a little girl who has the ability to turn into a pop idol princess. And that, along with the fact that Gabby La La's cd was super cheap
Vintage Vinyl and Les Claypool totally pimped it, was the main reason I got this cd. lol. Sad but whatever. I got great strange new music because of my nerdy ass fangirl ways.
