Click on this! What the fuck, Bambi? I mean, seriously, what the fuck is up with this picture? Protect our forest friends?! Bambi's mom dies! She gets fucking shot! Protect from wildfires and then let them get shot by the hunters! I don't care about hunting. My grandfather hunted and I totally get controlling the horny ass deer population but there's something inately odd about using the word protection in a picture involving Bambi.

In more funny but strange news I found a song that puts in soundbytes from Transformers: The Movie into the Metallica song One. It's both hilarious and fucking cool. Thus I link!

ETA: I've just been told that the deer with Bambi is his father and despite my rant I did know that was a male deer because of the antlers. I was just ranting in general because, again, the word protection and Bambi doesn't quite mesh in my mind because of the rather tragically famous slaugther of his mother which was damn brilliantly brutal on Disney's part when it came to traumatizing the youngsters.

For some reason when I read www.smokeybear.com I start thinking about 1) A bear smoking a cigar and 2) A bear actually being made into a smokey meat dish. I think I need sleep.

Um, that's Bambi's famously not-dead father. Antlers, you see. Probably a commercial tie in considering they're releasing Bambi II (god help us) soon. With Patrick Stewart voicing Bambi's father.

Hey Ressick. Did Metallica actually do that Transformers remix or did someone just play the opening riff to One for seven minutes and sample clips from the film? O.o

Oh, what I meant was that they're probably trading on Bambi being an easily identified forest creature or something. I think. Seriously. Who the hell hunts during a forest fire? I remember them running from the fire and then *blam* momshot. ... It was the first movie I ever saw. I still remember that part, at least in the way that a three year old can.
