Yet another fantabulous punk cover cd has come out. Here's some of my favorite tracks from it. I would elaborate on why I love them but I'm drugged out from laughing gas due to the root canal I had today, stunned by the price of the upcoming crown placement, and tipsy from booze as my Eurovision party is already underway. I will say that my favorite cover is You Oughta Know by The Killing Moon. It's so fucking sweet. Closely followed by Losing My Religion by Scary Kids Scaring Kids. Awesome name for a punk band, I must say.
Punk cover links activate! Heh. I still find it amusing. So sad, isn't it?

How can you NOT love such a good show??

And I have to admit you need a certain frame of mind to enjoy the whackyness and sillyness of Eurovision, as soon as you take it seriously and not as one big party where everyone can dress in golden pants and wear a mullet and be as gay as they want - the word flamboyant comes to mind after last night *g* - then you don't get it.
Yes, officially it is a song/singing contest, but inofficially the most entertaining group or performer wins, the one who can make fun of himself and the contest but gives his best nonetheless. It is a weird mixture between seriousness and sillyness.
