Fandom: Shiny New Ship

I've never watched Desperate Housewives. Fucking honest and goddamn pinky swear. Not a single episode but I think I might have to start because I stumbled upon really good Desperate Housewives slash fic written for Bree and Lynette. Usually I don't read fic when I don't know the series but that show is fucking touted so much that I know the characters and their personalities simply by existing and being the entertainment nerd that I am. Plus, dude, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman are the pretty. And here's the group responsible for my new fandom obsession:

They honestly look so very pretty together and I love me some hot closeted Marcia Cross. Although, I dunno how closeted they can call her considering that hilarious kiss she had with Felicity at 2005 GLAAD awards. Seriously, I reiterate again people, the fucking pretty of this ship. It overwhelms. Plus you've got the whole prim and proper Bree vs. butch and logical sexy Lynette. So nice. I do love it when I find a pretty new ship that has great fucking characterization angles to work with. I bounce in my computer chair with glee.

What does this mean? Ehrm... I might be switching over to Desperate Housewives fic when I'm finished with my planned L Word projects. Being ATWH and the sequel.

*sighs* I watch DH. While Bree and Lynette are my two favorites, I really can't see either character in a relationship with another woman, so I don't read those fics. I always thought Susan/Edie (Teri Hatcher/Nicollette Sheridan) was a more likely pairing, but that doesn't seem to have caught anyone's fancy.

I don't watch at all but for some reason neither Teri Hatcher nor Nicollette Sheridan particularly appeal to me. Dunno why. I just don't find them hot separately or together.

I wouldn't say I'm into DH now. I just like the ship of Bree and Lynette and there's not really a specific fic that made me like them. I pretty much read all the fic on the LJ community I linked and a few random websites. Whenever I discover a new ship I tend to read as much as I can about them as fast as possible. I don't think I've ever gotten into a fandom or a ship because of one lone fic. But what made me get into Bree and Lynette? The pretty! lol. Plus I like the contrast in personalities.
