I'll be doing my super nerd filled and uber detailed review once I've gotten some sleep and feel a little more articulate, or as articulate as I can get, but for now I'll simply say three things about X3.

1. I missed Bryan Singer.
2. I missed a cohesive plot.
3. I missed the subtle sense of emotional realism.

In short? I missed a lot of stuff present in the first two movies and Brett Ratner is like Joel Schumacher lite in terms of comic book movie directors. I'm not feeling angry or sad fangirl betrayed by the movie but just really fucking let down in terms of what could have been done with it and what was done. Just a lot of fucking wasted potential.

Ha! And I thought you would have loved it sooooooo much, because I thought it was so cool. I guess it shows I know nothing of the comics!

I found the movie just painful at times. My brother and I seriously had moments where we winced as we watched what was going on. It just... there was no logic to the plot nor the actions of many of the characters. I think if you wanted to watch pretty things explode and die it was a good movie but when compared to the first two in terms of plot and characterization it was a fucking joke.

And I do not lie when I say this movie has depressed me. lol. I'm that sad of an X-Men fangirl.
