Now for all those Danish loving L Word fans you've been taken back to a happy place. The rest of you? Well, you heard one of the most kick ass yet incredibly repetitive dance songs of the 90's. But why did I link the song and insist you play it's repetitive brilliance? Because my dear friends, I have FINALLY fucking obtained a job that actually uses my goddamn formally utterly useless education and employs my love of customer service and dealing with the freaky ass denizens of the public and it's for a kick ass law firm. Bwahahahaha! Employment that I actually want! 8 am - 4 pm and 9 am - 5 pm hours!! No weekends!!! Using my FUCKING BRAIN at work!!!!
Pat, dude, thank you so much for all your help with the FEMA possible employment and as much as I know they would pay and give better benefits I really think that this law firm is the place for me. They pay not quite as much as the government but fucking better than what I currently get and they have good benefits but mostly it's the fact I feel like I truly fit in with these people. I've found my place, you know? Plus there's the whole actually getting a chance to use my education in the area that it is fucking intended. But seriously man? Thanks so much. You're definitely one of the best friends I've ever had and continue to have. I shall most definitely visit you in Baton Rouge and we can go to the hilarious bullet proof and phone booth like pizza parlor. Hee. I'm still amused by that shite.
The reason I'm so excited besides the reasons that I've stated is the fact that my law firm is a fairly large but they operate through several different small offices throughout the St. Louis area. Meaning? I have plenty of room for advancement but my daily work environment would be a small office with around five to six other colleagues. Two of which are the lawyers at that location. When I interviewed there yesterday it was around two hours long and I had the greatest time although around fifteen minutes or so was spent with the head paralegal and my interviewer, Heather, running in and out and answering phones. It's honestly a super busy and hectic place but everyone there was super nice to me and it was totally relaxed and mellow and just down to Earth great. And Chuck himself? Kick ass and my god hilarious nice. I met the man's mother too! lol. She comes in three times a week at his head office, where I'll be working, and does filing for him. And the conference room I interviewed in was just so amusing. It had a gigantic stuffed Easter Bunny in it, a huge like Glamour Shots photo of some blonde chick who doesn't work there, and this super fancy framed photograph of a golden retriever. lol. I mean, I was so entertained but happy and just goddamn enthusiastic to be there.
Plus one of my friends from school is there! And just to show the fucking hilarity awesomeness of this place? She's their greeting secretary and has a very obvious gold tooth. lol. Dude, seriously? This is SO my fucking place. I've found my goddamn soulmate in law related job and I fucking hate the word soulmate but that's how I feel. I start on Monday, hopefully. I say hopefully because I've called Things Remembered to tell them the deal about them wanting me to start next Monday and my Manager wasn't there. I talked to the other ASM, Julia, and told her the deal and said for Dorothy to call me back. I've still yet to hear from her. I hope I hear from her soon because I honestly need to talk to her about this. I feel really bad about just sort of up and leaving them but honestly? I don't want to work that job and to have that sort of employment life and this job with my law firm is the job I WANT to work and the employment life I WANT to have. So I feel bad but I don't. Make sense? lol. Probably not but whatever.
Michi is finally home so now we're going out for some dinner and boozing and celebrating and my god I truly am...
SO.FUCKING.HAPPY!
Seriously folks. It's way lame sad but I am. And now to be nice I'm going to give some kick ass music from my latest play constantly on repeat singer Hikaru Utada who is called Hikki by her hardcore fans. I've loved her music for awhile because she's the essence of pop brilliant awesome and she has the best sexy Japanese R&B voice. I'm loving it. I especially dig the lyrics in her songs. The Workout has a great lyric about born again Christians and Easy Breezy gets major points for having the lyrics, "You're easy breezy and I'm Japanesey." Hee. I'm sorry but I find that super amusing. Enjoy!
