The Madonna concert absolutely ruled. End story. Even without Michi. I was planning on driving there and back but I work 8-4 pm on Monday. I was searching my brain about who to take with me to the concert when it hit me like a ton of bricks. Who loves Madonna and also works for an airline who could easily get us a flight from St. Louis to Chicago and back?

Suzanna, my ex-girlfriend who dumped me by saying I'm done and actually did dump all of my stuff from our apartment onto my parents lawn upon us being done.

I've already told Michi that's who I went to the concert with and her reaction was just quiet per usual. I'm already feeling guilty for making her feel... nervous? Jealous? I dunno. But honestly I wanted to go with Suzanna because she worships Madonna and it's the most fun to go to concerts with people who WANT to be there. I mean, Suzanna's reaction when I asked her to go was immediate jubilation over seeing Madonna and then a literal gasp when I told her Michi was too busy to go and upon my complaint of sudden cancellation said, "It's just Madonna."

"Just Madonna? Just Madonna?! Just her!" Quoth Suzanna. lol. She does amuse me still.

Anyway. I'm sure they'll be a minor romantic fallout from this whole thing but frankly I don't care. I wanted to have fun at the concert and boy did I have fun. The whole opening act with the crucifixion on the big cross was fucking killer looking. My favorite song was Forbidden Love performed although Hung Up was equally excellent.

It was a truly kick ass concert and I just wish Michi would've gone and had some fun with me. But Suzanna was way bitchy amusing and hilarious per usual. It was good to hang out with her again. Concert summarized? Sucks to have not gone with current girlfriend but I did have a good time with the most infamous of my ex-girlfriends.

Don't worry. I remain equally jealous for you getting to see Eurovision live on television with farrrrrrrrrrr superior viewing quality than I. We're jealousy even. lol.

We are so not even! I worshipped Madonna as a kid and a tiny part of me still do. Haha! I even used to collect newspaper clippings and I put them all in a big envelope with the following text on the outside:

Dear Anna,

even if you have grown up and decided that keeping these clippings would be silly, please do not throw them away! You used to love Madonna with passion and you have spent a lot of time and glue putting this together. Don't break your own heart just because you are all adult and stupid!

Sincerely yours,

Anna

I threw the envelope away last year...

Dude. That's super harsh to yourself. You broke your own heart. Bad, Anna! lol.

Ok, I've never posted a comment before, but I love all of your fan fics and I stop by this site every once in a while. But I am also a huge Madonna fan and was fortunate enough to see the concert twice already. I saw it on opening night in LA at the Forum and again on June 3rd in LA at the Staples Center. (Guess where I live?) It rocked. I was on the floor for the Staples Center show and she was like 10 feet away when she was on the catwalk center stage thing. My favorite was Jump actually. Man those guys could jump. My new favorite song is Like It Or Not. I don't want to remain anonymous, so I am here to introduce myself also...My name is Renee, but my screen name is Adelefiz. I'll try to stop by more often and maybe chat sometime. Talk to you later.

You got to see her twice? I'm super jealous! Jump was a great number and they did have impressive jumping skills. Suzanna has seen the show twice now and plans to go to the last concert for her USA tour. Which is something I can't remember right now. NYC maybe? Hmm. Who knows.
