A man who was actively involved in the Kerry campaign in Georgia and was adamantly against the war in Iraq committed suicide on the 9/11 ground zero site. The article about it is here...

Though anyone taking their life out of a sense of utter hopelessness is a tragic thing I somehow cannot help but be moved by his actions. This, in my opinion, is the most powerful example of political protest since the monk who set himself on fire to protest the Vietnam War. The symbolism involved with this suicide is plainly evident and perhaps that is the most horrible thing about it.

Fox News also covered this story and I really do believe that they were giving an internal fiendish giggle as they did so. After all, there is this lovely quote from one of their nastier commentators, Grover Norquist, "Republicans and conservatives can best advance the cause of civility by working hard to finish off the hopes of the Democrats for any return to power. It is like neutering barnyard animals: they are much calmer, less likely to cause damage, and easier to control. As the vet says, 'They will be happier; this is good for them'."

Such a vile piece of shite, isn't he? God help America.

And really, who'd blame him, with the commies and the homos and the nonchristians?
I'm not anti-Republican, but bet your ass I'm anti-Bush and anti-FOX news. Asshats, all of them. So much for a united country. And Norquist can go neuter himself. Or better yet, I'll do it. Anyone got some needlenose pliers and duct tape? A ball gag would be handy, but not necessary.

Oh, I'm a fan of your fanfic - the one who keeps buying Noir DVDs just so she can read your fic at some point (well, that's not the only reason...) - who just sort of wandered in here out of the rain after checking for fic updates. Hi!
