That's right, people. I've decided to smack my ass down for not writing fics. Starting tomorrow I'm going to make myself fucking write at least an hour a day for either All The White Horses, my Carmen fanfic, or one of those challenge fics I promised to write lord knows how long ago. I do plan on updating Alice's Chart later tonight so all the L Word and Alice Pieszecki fans please check that out.
I dunno what it is about me and writing fanfic. Either I'm really fucking into it or it drifts off into nothingness. It doesn't help I've been super busy with work, the gf, medical issues and other such crap. Tomorrow at work should be fun though because I got the $125 gift card to Walmart for Tunye from everyone at the law firm and I think her reaction should be great to watch.
Also Jeff is doing this hilarious tournament of babes type thing where it's arranged like NCAA basketball tournament betting and sets up different entries from Maxim's 100 Hottest Women list against each other. Here are some of the match ups we did on Friday and the results...
Reese Witherspoon vs. Catherine Zeta Jones: Reese won 3/5
Janine Lindemulder vs. Pamela Anderson: Janine won 4/5
Uma Thurman vs. Hilary Duff: Uma won 5/5
Mind you, the babes competing were picked for the ones at the top of the list, the very bottom, and then wild card entries picked by Jeff. I swear, I really fucking do love my law firm. I mean, I cannot see this shit going on at other law firms. lol. It really is such a fun place to work.
Now if only we were a bit bigger and I could get a larger salary I would be content to stay there forever. I'm sure I'll get significant raises as I learn more but there's no way I'll get paid as much as people at the huge ass firms. But the more I think about it, the more I don't care. My law firm is fucking fun and hilarious. I dig it.
Anyway, I need to remember to bring home the sheet that Jeff made for me to write down my picks on when we're done and then to scan and upload it. Just to actually prove how insane and awesome the stuff we end up doing at my work really is.
Because lord knows if I was reading this shit for whatever reason I'd be doubting that a legitimate and well known traffic law firm was doing a tournament of babes in its main office.
Being a music nerd and wanting to make up for my lack of progress on ATWH I've decided to share some of the music I've been digging lately in some futile form of apology. Right, right, it's lame but just go along with me here. I finally got the cd for Texas Lightning and it's so good and filled with many awesome covers.
I also got the Pussycat Dolls cd, finally, by way of a present from Michi and I wanted to share the great remix of Buttons. Which, unfortunately, not on the cd I got but whatever. I like the Pussycat Dolls even if only one person does all their singing. At least they're honest about it.
The last two songs are from the Eurovision 2005 contest. First being from Vanilla Ninja of Switzerland. I've just ordered their cd Traces Of Sadness and am anxiously waiting to hear it. I think it should kick ass because their performance certainly did.
Second and final song is the Estonia entry that never got into the finals which sucks ass because it's quite possibly one of the happiest songs I've heard in a long time. It makes me grin.
