For awhile now I've been contemplating and talking about doing my own review site. It would basically be home to reviews on music, movies, television shows, manga, and anything else in the entertainment medium that suits my fancy. Something where each review would be loaded with screencaps and me making little snarky commentary on things because that is my way, after all.

I finally bit the bullet and got the thing up and going today. Originally I wanted a website but the more I thought about it a blog made more sense. Plus it's trendy! Haha, no, that's not why I picked a blog. I figured it would be easier to interact with readers, if I should get any, through a blog format than a traditional website. At first I got a free blog at blogger.com but erhh... it kind of sucks there. The server kept going down and blah blah.

Thus I wound up over at Type Pad getting one of their paid accounts for a thirty day free trial then $8.95 a month. But! Here's what comes with it: multiple blogs and the ability to host them on your own domains. Create up to three blogs, customize their designs, and it includes 500 mb of storage and 5 gb of bandwidth per month.

Whee! I think it's a pretty good deal plus I don't have to mess around with figuring out how to make a fancy customized theme for the blog. I can use their software and just upload my already made cutesy banner and use it. Oh! Banner! I must share!

Cute or what? Anyway! Soon as I have the first review posted and the blog is up and running I'll post it in here. Hopefully this thing will get some sort of readership since reviews really are what I'd love to do in terms of writing for a living. It's totally a fanciful wish though. Doubt it will happen. Right now I'm working on scanning portions of Sensual Phrase - Volume 15 which is going to be my very first review. I've been obsessed with manga for years and shoujo manga in particular so I figured that's a great way to start things off.

Too bad that volume is so damn morbid. Blah.
