My Brain Is Dying

Bored, bored, bored, fucking bored I am. A few times this morning I started thinking of random jokes and points to make in my upcoming movie recap for Starship Troopers. Which, yes, I’m only reviewing for the sexy butch Dina Meyer goodness. Plus the movie has some truly hilarious moments and it’s fun to see them kill ginormous bugs.

I think my complete lack of brain function today at work is a sign that I really want this job I’m interviewing for tomorrow. Although I’m super nervous and the prospect of telling the people in my tiny and very close office I’m leaving makes me even more fucking nervous. But oh the well hell, you know? I want to be unbored at work and to get more money. To do that I really think I need to leave. Which is a shame because the people here are awesome.

Some weird part of me thinks that with how hectic and busy court clerks, along with the fact they don’t sit around on their computers writing variants of the same shit every day, will encourage me to sit on my ass and write my recaps, stories, etc far more when I get home. At least that’s what I’m hoping.

I was talking to a friend the other day and I sort of discovered it matters more for me to get recognition and praise for my dinky ass online writing than at my job. Which is a bit sad but I guess that proves how much writing means to me. Hrm. I dunno.

Sooooo... recap? NIC IS BORED!

you probably identify more with your online writing than the work you do at the job. its a more personal creative thing versus a job that anyone can do if trained well and has some social skills. (not to discount the job you do)
