Close But No Interview

For the first time in who knows how long when I got off work I didn't immediately check my cell phone for messages. Instead I drove up to Clayton for my interview with the St. Louis County Circuit Court and while walking to the courthouse I checked them. Guess what was there?

Three messages from the supervisor I was meeting with saying she had to cancel and wanted to rearrange a new interview time with me. Greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat. After that I called work and said that my fake meeting with my adviser at UMSL had to be canceled and I needed to set up a new time. I hate lying to my work about where I'm going and not telling them I'm looking for a new job because I've always been honest about my job hunts with previous employers but here... I dunno. I have this feeling if I let them know they'll fire me right away or it will make things very uncomfortable around the office. But still, I hate the air of deception.

Before I left work I was talking with jimu on Yahoo Messenger and he invited me to see a free early screening of the new James Bond movie, Casino Royale. I called Michi on the way home to tell her I was seeing the movie and she got pouty with me because she didn't have to work or study or do one of the million of other things she's usually busy with. I told her I hadn't hung out with Jaimie in a while and I wanted to see him and blah blah blah.

She does this sort of thing a lot. Like when she has free time she'll call when I'm with friends and be like, "I'm not doing anything. Come over." Sort of like I'm being squeezed into her schedule or something. I'm used to this type of thing and I accepted it because she's so crazy with her schedule and all the stuff she does with school but lately I've been getting irritated with her. It seems like I do so much shit for her and give her so much time but I get nothing back.

Blerh.

But James Bond! It was so kick ass. I really enjoyed the movie and it was super fun seeing it with Jaimie. Too bad we went to the wrong movie theater originally. lol. We still got there in plenty of time to see the movie and the super cool preview for Spiderman 3. Praise Jeebus for movie commercials.
