Interview Instability

The brain inside of my head is full of confuzzling thoughts. Why? Because I had my interview today with the St. Louis County Circuit Court.

Good news? My interview went well and I think they might hire me. Bad news? I don’t know if I want the position. When they told me the yearly salary it added up to less than I currently make at my law firm and because of where the court is located in Clayton I would have to pay for parking. Which would suck a huge amount out of my paycheck on a monthly basis. I think my math might be off though and if I'm called about getting the position I'm asking them what the bi-monthly salary is for sure before I make my decision.

But the parking... blerh.

I’m still holding out minor hope that I might hear back from Chesterfield for that Police Clerk position I applied for. Just because that has hours I’d prefer, a town I’d prefer, and a higher wage I’d prefer. I’m also applying for a secretarial position at UMSL which pays more than my current position and, you know, discounted tuition. Something that’s good because I’m contemplating going for my Masters degree in Creative Writing.

could you take the metrolink?

Not sure. I'd have to check their website. It is a possibility. First I'd have to pick a Metrolink station to park at. Good suggestion though!

looks like you can just take 44 all the way to shrewsbury and then take the metro north to clayton

Thanks! But it looks like the monthly cost of a Metro pass, $60.00, is actually more expensive than the paid lot most of the Circuit Court employees use which is $30.00 a month.

if you go to umsl next semester the metro pass for the 5 months is like 40 or 60$
