The brain inside of my head is full of confuzzling thoughts. Why? Because I had my interview today with the St. Louis County Circuit Court.
Good news? My interview went well and I think they might hire me. Bad news? I don’t know if I want the position. When they told me the yearly salary it added up to less than I currently make at my law firm and because of where the court is located in Clayton I would have to pay for parking. Which would suck a huge amount out of my paycheck on a monthly basis. I think my math might be off though and if I'm called about getting the position I'm asking them what the bi-monthly salary is for sure before I make my decision.
But the parking... blerh.
I’m still holding out minor hope that I might hear back from Chesterfield for that Police Clerk position I applied for. Just because that has hours I’d prefer, a town I’d prefer, and a higher wage I’d prefer. I’m also applying for a secretarial position at UMSL which pays more than my current position and, you know, discounted tuition. Something that’s good because I’m contemplating going for my Masters degree in Creative Writing.
