So are the words of Suzanna. She talked to Van before me, took her out to lunch on Thursday to be specific, and that's what she told Van. That she was done because she couldn't take my friends sabotaging our relationship or whatnot. Yeah... paranoia thy name is my now ex-girlfriend.

I got a call from her when I was at work today and was more or less summoned to dinner where I got to hear a slightly revamped version of the "I'm done" speech she gave Van. Basically she reiterated she couldn't take my friends hating her as much as they do and blah blah blah.

The thing is, before this entire crap happened my friends never said one thing. It was only Pip and even she wasn't saying THAT much. She eventually dropped the subject of Suzanna because it irked me so much when she would say bad things about her. Only after Suzanna freaked out and did the not good enough to be a soap opera official slap have my friends given their less than glowing opinions.

Well, I guess it's good that it's all out though. I think one of the bad things about myself is the fact that I get over stuff like this fairly quickly. Or maybe I make myself believe that. Who the hell knows. All I do know is ever since I was little and I'd get an F on a test, I would only be upset for five seconds then I would shrug it off and say, "Oh well. Too late to change anything now." Then move on.

I pretty much do that exact same thing with failed relationships. Part of me thinks this is good because, well, I hate people who blubber and sulk over things like this. But another part thinks it's strangely bad because it's almost like I'm detached from emotions if that makes any sense.

Fuck if I know. Anyway, Suzanna and I are "done" as it were and I'm planning on going into a self imposed no dating period. lol. At least I can hang out with Van again. She's been really sweet about this and hasn't put any signs of pressure about her feelings for me so that's nice. I've managed to scam her into watching The L Word with me every Sunday now for the new season. Hee! I shall make her love Danish as much as I do. Ah, my new favorite ship.

That being said, I'm going to work on my Dana/Alice fanfic. I'm already 13 pages into it and I haven't even gotten them kissing yet. Sad, so very sad....

Suzanna BROKE UP with you?

:o

Jesus, Nic . . . I'd say I was sorry, but you seem awfully calm about it (as you've explained).

Hell, I'm still sorry. *hug*

Sincerely, Allaine

Aww, it's all right. You're sweet to be concerned though. Hey, if you've finished going through Season One of The L Word would you be interested in prereading my Danish fanfic? That is, if you like Danish. I'm baffled at anyone who doesn't like this ship though. Hee! I even got Pat nicely addicted to the show. Well, at least in terms of being a Dana fan.

Ooo, I would love to say yes, but I've still got five episodes to go, and finding the time to watch them just gets more and more difficult.

I do want to see it when I'm finished, though. Although by then you'll probably have posted it already.

Sincerely, Allaine

Heh. Probably not, the fic is going pretty slowly and I think it's shaping up to be almost novel-esque. Though if you want to watch the show live for Season 2 you better get watching those eps. lol. I'm irked that I won't get the local cable tv version of Tivo until Feb 21st the day AFTER The L Word Season 2 premiere. Bah! I'll have to tape it on VHS I guess.
