Birthday, Blerh

Today is my birthday and I had to have Jaimie do some random subtracting last week for me to remember I'm turning twenty nine. I didn't have a party because Michi didn't want to deal with one. Which, needless to say, still leaves me a bit irked at her. I did go out drinking on Friday night with a bunch of my friends and the fabulously bitchy ex-gf Suzanna so that was fun.

Right now I'm working on the first post to my new blog Minion of Manga which is going to be recaps all about different manga series. Hopefully it will get something of a following and I can let people know about the tons of various manga series I'm addicted to.

That's about it.

Oh yeah, recently I did two interviews with the Missouri State Highway Patrol for the job of Probationary Emergency Radio Dispatcher. If I get the job then I'll be paid a minimum of 2,500 a month to start with a raise in salary everytime I pass another level of the probation period. You're on probation with them for a year so by the time I'd be done I'd get 3,000 a month so that's nice.

I like it at the court but it's basically a dead end job in the fact you can't get a raise and stay in the same position. You have to switch jobs to something completely different in the court house to get more money. Whereas with this MHSP job I'd get regular raises for each year I work with them and each training level I complete.

Well Happy Birthday to you! Of course while I'm writing this your b-day has passed for you, but if you were in my time zone, you'd still have an hour left. Well I hope your day was fun. I went through the whole birthday thing last weekend, so I know how you feel. Except I tried to throw a party for myself and that didn't turn out too well. I still had fun though so that's all that matters.

The job sounds like a good thing. I hope you get it and will be thinking of you, so make sure that you update us on if you get it or not.

hey, welcome to the club of "oh my god, next year I will be 30". which essentially hit me when I turned 29 recently. not that I was suddenly 29, but more to the point, that I would be 30 next year.
and when you turn the big old 3 you are supposed to have a plan. any plan. and I have none. yeah, I have a job, and I do it every single day, but I don't really invest anything in it, it just feels so temporary.
My plan for this year is working on a plan, figuring out what I want, and then actually do something about it and not let it happen, go with the flow as I used to (still do though).
