Oh thank god, they weren't on crack for once. I was having flashbacks of the evils of Season 2 and that fucktard Ilan beating Marcel with the editing they gave Lisa. Ugh. I still dislike Ilan. Especially after finding out most of his food was a direct rip from the menu of the Spanish restaurant where he was a sous chef. Bah. But enough about Ilan, he's lame and losery and is an asshole douche bully.

It's all about Stephanie FTW! Much love for that Top Chef.

Marcel used chemicals in his dish because he's one of the few chefs in the world that practices molecular gastronomy, just like Richard did in this season. Molecular gastronomy is basically the scientific study of food and the chemical processes that occur in cooking.

My issue with Ilan isn't his cooking but his basic shitty and bullying treatment of Marcel. Enough to the point where he encouraged Cliff who physically attacked Marcel and had to be kicked off the show.

If you watch the whole season you'll see Marcel is sort of nerdy and not good with people and basically did get picked on a lot for a few sort of social faux paus that he made once in awhile. I have a soft spot for him and I really hate Ilan for being such a wanker to him. I mean, at one point they were cooking and Ilan was calling Marcel names just to try and throw him off his game in the kitchen.

Ilan is sort of universally hated by the more obsessive Top Chef fans. Which does include myself sadly. lol. Especially on Television Without Pity.
