At least I think it's the fourth guest stint Eden Riegel has pulled since she officially left All My Children in 2005. It's hard to tell since Eden is such a good sport about popping in and out of the show depending on the storyline. She's coming back next month though and apparently it's going to be for a much longer length of time than her previous revisits. This time she's going to have a girlfriend in tow and since Elizabeth Hendrickson is busy over in Genoa City we're getting brand spanking new character out of it.
Personally I'm really excited about this because it's going to be the first time we're having someone introduced solely as Bianca's girlfriend. She's coming into the picture as an out lesbian not a possibly bisexual corporate spy, a confused badly dressed college student, or a transexual woman in her transition stages. Nope. We get a plain old lesbian romance for Bianca. It's surprisingly refreshing.
It helps that the gf is being played by Tamara Braun who is best known for playing Carly Corinthos on General Hospital. I say this because she brings the pretty and she's a great soap actress, possessing that undefinable charm a soap leading lady needs to be popular with her audience. Basically she's great at playing lovable bad. Think Kendall or Greenlee for the AMC fans. Anyway, Tamara is playing the part of Reese Williams, an architect that Binks has been living with in Paris. Between this and Elizabeth Berkley showing up on the final season of The L Word to give the poor Tibetters one last poke with the crazy shipper stick I'm really liking how lesbian developments on television are turning out lately. If you want to check out Bianca's triumphant return then watch the show starting October 17th and Tamara will appear in her role as pretty ass gf on October 30th.
I wonder if Erica will like Reese? If she doesn't it should bring the funny. Then there's Kendall. Lord help Reese if she should somehow disrupt the awesomeness that is Kinks. It's the best fucking relationship on that soap.
And for those of you who need reinforcement of why Kendall and Bianca, despite being sisters, are the best relationship on All My Children, romantic or otherwise, do me a favor and watch this clip for they are made of the cute.

The fact that they made their most sympathetic and beloved character a lesbian who is the daughter of the most important figure in their soap universe just endears the show to me further.
Anyway! Even if you don't watch I'll be sure to post about the show and the Bianca/Reese dynamic and I'd be shocked if YouTube didn't populate itself with clips.
