What the hell with the continual angry!Zach going after Reese, people? It's getting old. I know the show is probably setting them up BFF style like Bianca and Leo but the more mature business professional version but he needs to stop yelling at her when he gets frustrated.

Although this episode gave me a lot of hints as to character development for Reese. Honestly, she's lucky to be with Bianca because Binks is probably the nicest character in Pine Valley overall and she's not a fan of the yelling. The way Reese sort of shrunk back and took Zach's anger just reinforces my previous belief her parents judgmental behavior went back for years and years, since she was a child, and she's not very well suited to defending herself in personal situations. She kind of sits back and takes it. Which is good that Bianca is so not like that because Reese could very easily be emotionally devastated if she fell in love with the wrong kind of person who would take advantage.

Think I'm exaggerating? Check out her reaction 7:13 in when she starts contemplating what she would be like should something happen to Bianca? Tamara Braun is playing this for all its worth. Very nice stuff. I have a feeling, well, at least that's how I'm going to write it in fanfic, that Bianca is so important to Reese because she did work through a lot of her emotional insecurities with Bianca, that Bianca helped her get past them, and because of that she does believe Bianca loves her completely and she never believed that before with someone and it's huge given the way she never really felt confident that her parents loved her and she never let her friends see totally who she was.

Annnnnd, enough of my analysis. Clip away!

I think that your analysis is dead on . . . however not sure if the AMC writers have the capacity to give a character this much depth - however I KNOW your fanfic will. To continue with my take on it - I think that Reese doesn't necessarily shrink by Zach's emotions - more that she is completely paralyzed because she has never seen anyone display their feelings so freely. She is overwhelmed by his demonstation of his passion, when she grew up in a world completely void of emotional outbursts - positive or negative. I think she is a bit more angsty than we have seen yet - given she has let herself follow her heart and it's terrifying thinking she doesn't have control over where it is taking her. In a sense she has given it to Bianca - which has to be gut wrenching.
