I'm listening to a lot of random French music because of my fanfic obsession. I forgot how much I love French pop and it's getting freaky how much my music collection has suddenly expanded. Anyway! Onto videos.

Watch the videos in order, top to bottom. I don't have a lot of thoughts tonight for some reason. Maybe the French pop has killed my brain? It is mindless fluff but my god, it's yummy. Like fried twinkies. Wait. That's American junk food. It's overdosing on crepes. Tipsy on wine? Drugged on cheese! I love French cheese. I must extort my relatives overseas to send me some for Jesus Day.

It's probably wrong of me but I kind of enjoy the quiet anger Reese has going on with her father and then Bianca. I find it fascinating to watch because it's very controlled and kind of bubbles beneath the surface. Very much the opposite of how the Kane women do anger. I'm going to have to work in the bit about her father wanting her to become a partner at his architecture firm though. I'm glad we found out she's from New York and that she shares a career in common with her father. I can work that in really well with my story using the fact that she fails at trying to emulate her mother and ends up following after her father in trying to please her parents but she ends up enjoying architecture a great deal.

But as a type of rebellion Reese goes to school overseas and refuses to join her father's firm on graduation, staying in Paris, and eventually opening up her own firm though her father is still poking at her to leave the firm she created and join his. Same with her mother. Overall I got a lot of insight into Reese with this episode which made me really happy fanfic wise.

I'm not anxious at all about how the episode ended with her angry at Bianca because, well, I'm not sure why that is. It just is. lol. Maybe because it's clear how much Reese loves Bianca? I dunno. I am very curious to see how their argument plays out. Bianca is a tough person to get in a fight with because of that she's so fucking nice factor she has going on but Reese did have a good quiet angry on. I liked how she avoided speaking to Bianca at all and it sort of drove Binks nutty and she demanded to know what was up. It was a great dynamic.

This was a great episode for Reese. It is fascinating to see how she maintains control of her emotions, both with her dad, then with Bianca, but still manages to call both of them on what they did.
I don't know how upset she really is at Bianca. She seemed to be at least a little happy to see her dad at some point during the visit. Probably one of these situations were it would be a good thing to have some time to get some perspective before confronting Bianca. I don't see Reese getting too harsh with Binks though. I think I could see moisture coming up in those sad, dark eyes and we know that's the end of being able to be mad.

Reese is good at calling people on their own bullshit. I can't wait for her confrontation with over protective mommy Erica next week to see what she says to the resident supreme diva.

Fanfic note: I read somewhere that ex-fiance Simon is also an architect who worked at Dad's firm and that's how Reese met him.
The argument at the end seems to me to be misdirected anger from Reese: Dad still didn't come through for her and she told him to get out so now the only person left to vent at is Bianca...who was just dealt a body blow about Kendall. Tough stuff.

Seriously? I was wanting to put that in the fic. That is freaky weird. The thing I'm confused about with Simon is whether or not to write him with an accent. I know the actor cast to play him is Australian but I don't know if he'll use his natural voice.

Yeah, the argument is definitely all about misdirection. That's probably why it doesn't really worry me. I'm more fascinated at the chance to finally see them bicker. lol.

It was a spoiler posted at Bianca & Reese, just can't remember which one but yes, that's how Reese and Simon met.
I'm looking forward to seeing Binks head over to the Valley Inn to meet up with Dad. Gawd, I haven't seen Frank since his days on ATWT with Meg Ryan; he looks great and I thought he did a terrific job.

Yeah, I just read the spoilers on the board. Good stuff. Though some of what they revealed about Reese's break up with Simon goes against what I'm writing in my fic but there you go.

I never got into ATWT too much unfortunately. My soap preference tended to stay with ABC with a few moments lured over to NBC. Though I always liked Y&R if only for Nikki and Jill. Plus Katherine.

You know what I miss? Passions. It rocked.

I don't remember what they said about the break-up. She saw The Rack and came to her senses?

I read the spoilers on this Tamara Braun fansite...

http://www.tamara-braun.com/

I think what they said was that Reese broke up with Simon two weeks before their wedding and then she met Bianca after the break up. Which isn't how I'm writing it in my fanfic but ehh, what can I do? I won't retcon my fic. lol.

Key phrase: after the break up. Ah hell, a little drama never hurt anybody.

Whoops! Bianca should KNOW BETTER, I understand that she had the best intentions, but you just do NOT do such things....Bianca went through something similar with Erica herself......how dare she, and I love (platonically, well as plationically as you can a fictional character) Bianca!!

Is that one of my icons? I don't think I posted that at a sharing group so I'm a bit perplexed. I'm glad you like it though. I spend a sad amount of times making all the icons you see on my LJ.

Bianca meddles. That's what she does. It's a Kane thing. I don't think those women can really help it.

Yeah, it's Queen Latifah from SNL when she was that Gwen woman from PBS moderating the VP debate........damn funny!!

Bianca meddling, I'll accept it, as long as we don't loose Reese!!

I didn't see your earlier commenting saying you were using some of my icons. I was confused when I saw the one I made of that sketch staring at me, that's all.

Although, the ones I use on this LJ are just for my personal use really. I created them based on my own nerdy interests. The ones I credit came from screencaps another user took since they were nicer than my own screencaps. I don't mind you using the icons you already took since they're credited but I prefer the rest to stay here if that's all right.

And I hope that didn't sound selfish and douchey.

If, I were to ask...would you make an icon for me? And, what is the LJ-URL for the icon communities you post the public-use icons to!?

Also, if I ask permission (before using, of couse) would that be cool...I mean you would still have the option of saying yes or no....of course!! ;)

Any of the icons I use on my LJ are just for personal use. I tend to post the icons I share on random groups. Usually on Journalfen. I don't really make icons on request just like I don't do requests for fanfics. It's mostly a time issue with both and the fact I kind of selfishly create them for my own amusement.

Thanks for your understanding.
