My obsession with French music continues. I love living in the Midwest but one of the rare dislikes I have about living here is that sometimes it's next to impossible to live in the Midwest and see really great international musicians when they come over to the states. They tend to stick to the east and west coast leaving out us poor peons who populate most of the country in the middle.
Yelle is one of the French musicians I've been listening a lot to while writing my AMC fanfic that's based in Paris and she's also one of those rare artists who is better live. Pink is also like that and Madonna once upon a time. Aquabats rock the house so hard live and they are a must see for any ska fan with a sense of humor. Who else? Tina Turner, Bowie, Neil Diamond, Gwar, and Dolly Parton. I also love me some Nightwish and Within Temptation live. And enough about my music whoring. Onto the clips and downloads.
Just for a mild warning, if you don't like club music then you might not like her album versions of the songs. Everyone else who digs that kind of thing from time to time, as I very much do, enjoy!
