Including one of my favorite songs Living Next Door To Alice (Who The Fuck Is Alice) by Smokie. Click on the previous link to download the original song and this link to download the dance mix. I always planned on incorporating this song into one of my L Word fanfics featuring Alice but I never got around to it. Should've done it though, it would've been funny and I can see her really appreciating the use of her name in the song.

That was awesome, both the original and the dance mix. My friend who doesn't usually like music I like, loved the dance mix. And I have to agree Alice would probably have liked it.

Oh and two other things. I stole the unfinished fics meme and I also found a Reneesme/Conner fic on Twisting the Hellmouth. Sadly, it isn't particularly funny but it's the closest I've so far found to what you were looking for.

It's actually a good fanfic though. I guess decent writing can make even the most ridiculous of vampire baby characters likable.

I love Living Next Door To Alice. It's one of those unexpectedly funny songs, you know? I just wish I could have seen Smokie perform it live at least once. Shouting out, "Alice? Who the fuck is Alice?!" with a few thousand people seems like it would be strangely fun. lol.

Yeah, seeing that performed live does sound like a lot of fun. And I'd have to agree about the fic in question, and in general, one of the things I've noticed about fanfic is that decent writing can save almost any concept no matter how ridiculous. I've occasionally found myself reading and liking stories whose subject matter I don't necessarily find all that appealing based on the writing alone.
