Which is superior, friendslist? One of my hobbies, which doesn't help at all with my weight loss quest, is baking various pastries and yummy treats. I end up making cake and pie the most. A get together is coming up and I was charged with making some snacks and the great cake vs. pie debate emerged with much to do. It made me curious what people as a whole feel is the more enjoyable treat.
I myself prefer both making and eating cakes. I'm strangely squeamish about food that could get me dirty while eating, it's why I dislike spaghetti with red sauce, and thus I'm not fond of the squishy innards of most fruit pies. I do enjoy making and eating strawberry rhubarb and pecan pie though. But cake remains my mistress.
What about you?

Pie can be fruit, or nut, or meat or mock-apple.
I can't decide between then honestly. I think in recent years cake has been shafted a bit as most cakes I see/try are very light and dry and with too-sweet frosting. The next time I make a cake I'm going to make a sweet-salty cake for kicks.

I'm going with cake though because I've yet to find a cake recipe I didn't like to eat and make. Not the same with pie.

p.s. I have issues about food getting me dirty, too. I have this weird thing about food in which the bites are too big-- like, biting a really big hamburger, the corners of my mouth feel "dirty" because of it and as a consequence, I feel dirty.
