I was at the midnight showing of The Dark Knight yesterday, which I'll rave about incomprehensibly later, and this beautiful movie trailer was shown to us. Alan Moore's Watchmen is considered almost universally by comic book nerds to be a masterpiece of a graphic novel. Sort of like the War & Peace of comics. Except the storylines aren't anything remotely alike but you get the gist.

I'm really excited about the movie now. Especially seeing Dr. Manhattan as he's my favorite. They don't have much of Rorschach's commentary in the trailer but just getting to see all the main heroes is good enough for me. While I loved 300 I really hope Zack Snyder doesn't go overboard with his specialty slow-mo magic.

Anyway, trailer away! Oh, the Smashing Pumpkins was so appropriate for this trailer. Far more appropriate than when another version appeared in Batman & Robin. Dear god, the lameness of that compared to this. Ugh.
