PETA: Scary Sea Kittens

I'm sorry if some of you like PETA. I think they're quite insane and I'm of the opinion that if you want to actually help animals it does more good to support local Humane Societies who don't act crazy and tend to have comprehensive care programs for animals. Anyway!

Everyone knows about their latest campaign, right? It's been going on for a few months. They're trying to get fish officially renamed as sea kittens so people will associate them with regular fluffy kittens who are too cute to eat? Wacky but fairly tame for PETA considering the more batshit stuff they've done over the years. And look, they even have a cute dress up the sea kittens game! I admit to finding that game weirdly fun to mess around with but I love going to see kids movies in the movie theaters. I want to see Hotel For Dogs.

Why am I making this post if it's not really that batshit for PETA? Because this sea kittens children's story is the batshit. Dude. I don't want kids and I'm not overly fond of them in general but I would never ever read a kid something like this. It's pretty fucking brutal at points and I don't see how it's appropriate for a child. I think it would give the smaller ones nightmares but then, what do I know? Fairy Tales are traditionally violent as hell and Disney is loaded with death. How many Disney characters have two parents anyway? It seems like parents always die grisly deaths in Disney films.

In other news, I love my Mad Max icon. Tina rocks the house.
